A stock RX7 suspension on street tires is plenty good for a noob. And there a many things we would all love to do to our cars, but it should never prevent us from having fun on the track. Provided the car is solid, performance wise all you really need to upgrade to survive a track weekend are race brake pads.
besides, I've seen many a "stock" car outperform some stupid fast modifed FD's simply due to driver skill. And "fast" doesn't always equate to "fun"
