Indykid and Radkins live in Indiana I think. I live in VA. I am setting up a big car meet around the time that VIR is going on when Indykid comes down. So maybe we can get some cars up and get some good runs. You are welcome to come down and join. I think Indykid might be surprised how us rednecks fair.

Where are you from?

470 in a RX-7? If so then sounds good. You could get some runs in with some cars around your speed. And I will see if I can get some of my friends down there, and you can watch a 800+ whp Supra whip my ***. Maybe Indykid will run him too... Can't wait till that event.

Hell I can't drive on a track yet, but I am learning. I actually might be at that event also.

Cant we all just get along?? lol

Nah, it would be weird for you guys now. After all this "internet" **** talking here, then a couple months go by and you finally meet up. How will you introduce yourself? Yeah, im "so and so", im the **** talker, get your *** on the track and lets do this". LOL idk, i think we should act like adults since we all are (i hope) and just accept opinions. When you actually get to the real life situation, let the actions be the last word, err well action.

It's funny how when many an internet adversarial personality finally meet up in person and things turn out quite cordial.

And for Hockyz I did forget to mention V8 or not...awesome car dude. I'd love to see it in action.

rotorsownyou7 - Come join the fun at VIR. I'll be there, most likely instructing. Look me up. I'll be driving a red FD

Regards,
Crispy

sounds like you stink at brake boosting

again, the rock heads here don't seem to believe Steve Kan ran a stock Busa, which has about 165 rwhp, and he had 480, from 80-165 mph, and WON

so, discussion concluded....a 450 rwhp will be right with any new literbike in a high speed roll (triple digit speeds)...of course if the bike gets the jump, that is your own fault

It was last saturday night when I was on my way back from a group get together. Rich was behind me and Mr.Shoefly (stephen) was riding with me. I was curising around 80 or so and notice two motorcycle in front of me. I was curious to know what they were so I speed up a little to catch up. It turns out it was a Hayabusa and a very loud GSXR-1100. Both bikes sounded mean and I was telling stephen that they'll probably kick my butt if we race. I then pass them and proceed my way until I notice they both took off and try to do a flyby on me, so I down shifted to 3rd and took off with them just to show them I can hang with them. After that, I slowed down and they flew right by me. a couple of mins later, they slowed down and was waiting for me looking back and reving their motor. Since there was a hill in front of us, I didn't want to race until after the hill because I couldn't tell if there's cops waiting for us. I slowed down to about 70-75mph getting side by side with them. As we started to clear the hill, I downshifted to 3rd gear to let them know I'm ready. We took off at the same time and I gained .5 cars on the hayabusa. we raced side by side until I shut off at 165mph. He stayed .5 cars behind me. The GSXR 1100 was at least 6-7 cars behind me. After the race, I followed them to a gas station and they asked me wtf was do I have in there. I laugh and told them it's the same displacment as the hayabusa but I have a turbo in it. I later found out that the hayabusa has an air filter and an exhaust system in it so it was slightly modded. The guy told me that he races against modified vipers w/ n20 and C5s w/ n20 and none of them could even hang with him soon as he shifted to 4th gear but he was very suprised that I was right there the entire time. I told him what my car runs at that current state and that I still have the n2o system (another 80rwhp) which I didn't use when I raced him. He just looked at me and shake his head. Also, on a side note. He started out in 3rd gear and had to downshift to 2nd just to keep up with me starting from a 75mph. That explains why I was .5 cars ahead of him.

even though I ride an R1, I have to admit I love to see squids on bikes get humbled, especially Busa riders, because they think they are so god like

Dude, we get it, you already posted that. Steve Kan, a pro drag, racer says he beat a busa on the highway (and maybe he did)
so that means it is gospel and the norm? It's not.

Only as fast as your instructor thinks you are capable of handling. And I'll add that if you are a noob you aren't gonna be able to handle much and it ain't gonna be that fast.

Trust me you'll understand after your first lap when you scare the crap out of yourself and your instructor once or twice.

You're not gonna be pulling the front tires on a drag strip on that set up, let alone on a road course. heh
