Heh, don't get me wrong (lol), I think the Celica is a semi-girly, extravagant ricer vehicle... I just heard that they handle VERY well.

Girly doesn't bother me since I don't need to compensate for anything(props to men that drive Miatas). Ricer is iffy, but they are getting cheaper now and it seems that I can't go too far without seeing a Celica GT(not GTS) without some sort of ugly crap hanging off of it. I'm sure a lot of people have considered my car rice, but I assure you that there's nothing cheap about it. It had the full rice setup when I bought it, and that's why I had to replace the "Blitz" bodykit that was on it with something a bit nicer. I'm also a fairly decent pilot and would guess I'm somewhere in the mid to low 14's with it. It's still better than most lightly modded "tuner" cars, and I have had my fair share of V8 kills in it.

The fake generic crap. That's why I used "quotes". It was nasty, and flapped in the wind.

><

I dont know if this is still true but the 3 rotor 350hp RE FD is undefeated in the touge races in japan, going against some sick cars(800hp skylines) etc. etc.

I do have to say evo's are fun to drive, but while I was pulling out of a parking lot in the middle of nowhere(in the woods)

I accidentally mistook a BIKE PATH as the road(for about 10 feet), then I was locked in, I had to see if my car could fit, needless to say, there were tree's everywhere, and I really wanted to see if i could do it(did it very conservatively on the asphalt bike path). I did it, and then got pulled over, but somehow got out of it /boggle!

Needless to say, I would love to see any evo w/ their turning radius make some of those turns ><....yes I have driven a couple evo's and frankly their turning radius sucks assssss! otherwise they are beastly cars!

the 4g63 is unrealiable for the same reasons the rotary engines arent reliable.

builder error.
with the exception of the 7 bolt engines that can have crankwalk, they are pretty stout engines.
I have never in my life seen an engine run 35 psi on the dyno and make 520 whp then go play in the snow for a few hours, and then run kick some serious behind in an autocross as my friends galant vr4. All within 2 weeks or so (nebraska sucks)

video proof

http://1320video.com/vids/3.20snowfunSM.wmv

I have to say im impressed. He has got a little more upgrading and will be running 40-45psi
and hopefully around 600-650.

From seeing and working on a couple high powered 4g63's ive been more than impressed.

Then again when i let my friend that built the 455 hp second gen talon (on a stock bottom end with 80k miles) drive my Fd he was excited and more than impressed with my fd. He said the way it feels and drives is so much different. It almost feels like you are a part of the car.

All in all,
there should be no car predejuce. To each his own. I love my rx7 and the rotary engine, but there is so much more to play with too.

You don't give up do you? Stop talking out of your *** and go drive one.

Here's an Evo v. a Murcielago. Tell me it doesn't handle.

Thumbs up

I realize I am new here, so I won't take offense to people not liking my opinion.

I just want to say, as an owner of both an FD and an Evo, I enjoy both cars equally, in very different ways. I've put thousands (over 60k on the evo) of miles on both. Which is better is really, in my opinion, going to come down to just that - opinions. I run with SoCal Evo (Team Emperor) and I can say from years of being involved with them that we harbor no angst towards FD's (SRT's, yes, for good reasons!). We all love fast cars, stop building e-peens and just appreciate the ability to own and operate amazing vehicles like Evos and FDs~

It is opinion, but this ignoramus is just making things up and presenting them as fact in an attempt to make himself feel better about his car. I love both, and I just accept the weaknesses of both. Neither of them are perfect because there is no such thing as a perfect car unless you are describing it in terms of a specific use.

Yea. Please understand too, I'm agreeing with all the points you have made thus far.

This is simply untrue. A stock EVO will own a stock FD on a road course. Check out some Best Motoring DVDs when you get the chance..

This comparison is dumb. The RX7 is a great FR car. It's also of older technology as someone said. From stock to mod-for-mod, the EVO is simply a better car all around.. not very sexy as the FD though..

Btw, the EVO can match any whp configuration that the current 13b can produce, with reliablity. That would make it better in my book.

Ex-FC owner. I loved that car!! It was the fastest car I've ever had (it felt faster than my F16). I wish I would've kept it but it was too costly after 2 blow motors..

2 motors...OUCH how did they go? you must have been packing a gt35R or something in there if you're not being sarcastic on how fast you thought your FC was.

Mods on my old 88 10th:

T04E turbo
Haltech EMS
TBE w/mid pipe
Walboro Fuel Pump
550cc primaries, 720cc secondaries
Stock Intercooler
HKS Boost Controller @ 16psi.

It put a little over 260rwhp/225wtq on a very conservative tune. I had since turned up the boost and leaned out the mixture somewhat. The car was very light - an easy mid-low 12s car.

Blown motor 2X.. had to let it go..

1. best motoring is about is good a bench mark as asking superstreet reading highschoolers. and i've seen dozens of full length best motoring vids. pure entertainment.

2. best motoring shows just as many FD's winning road races as evo's. probably more.

best motoring is like going by what you see on streetfire.

anyway, why does every ******* kill story ever have to turn into x car is better than y car, ******* ricers.

i didnt read all of this (so dont falme if this was already stated) but he compares the evo rs to a fd. But what some dont know the "RS" is a gutted evo 8 and not a stardard evo as well not many where made either. for starters the rs has no wing and no ac nor a radio also the truck isnt useable because instead of having a metal bottem it has cardboard to replace it makin it lighter. but the down side to this model, is all the body reinforcemnts where removed from the truck causing extreme body flex even tho it made it lighter as well. so this comparing is unfair cause if i was to gut a Stock fd it would be alot more than just 300 pounds lighter then a RS.
