Thanks man!
As far as I know Pete is the fasted twin turbo FD at 2.08 and I'm the fastest single at 2.03 (eric cambell is fast on my heels though).
I think Pete has a 2.05 on a good day with fresh tires.
I think I can run a 2.00.XX if everything comes together
With the repave happening this winter it should make these times that much easier to achieve.

Uploading another vid which are probably my best laps that weekend. Low 6s or high 5s. It's the second session on Friday morning and my tires are at there best but me and the car are not quite in the zone; alignment is off, diff still leaking and I'm having a little trouble with the missing oaktree hehe. Again chasing the m3 race car and somehow I manage to be on his back bumper and don't get a point. He must think my car is dropped from space

Not the company
I had to go check pics of the dash from my old car to see how high the speedo went after watching those vids. You guys are FLYING out there on the straights!!!! Looks like a lot of fun; minus the questionable no point-by's.
Just an FYI; the last vid you posted you are chasing an E36.

Frigg'in can a WHOOP *** Fritz!!! Daum! Some of the best flat-out ***** to the wall driving I've ever seen. Your oneness with the FD is a credit to our Community and adds further to the mistique of the machine. I'm sure post race you must have had a few stopping by to peek in the hood, fully expecting to see a twin turbo V8, then shaking their heads when they see one of those damn round motors from another planet

LOL we did have some folks stop by to ask about the HP etc..... and YES they are always amazed at the size of the package under the hood. The doritos on a stick are truly one of the 7 wonders of the world hehe.

Finally got ot watch that last video , Niice I loved watching you chase down the race car twice
I do have a question for you , the right hander before the pit straight I've noticed you take that turn quite loose . is that on purpose? or is that turn just very difficult to get the rear end not to slide because of the late apexing

T17 (corner before pit) is just a pedal to medal throttle steering corner and also the most important corner on the track because it's a high speed corner leading unto a straight so you better be flying if you want a good lap time.

So Fritz, I watched the video again and it appears as though you reach just North of 160 mph indicated on your speedo. Is that correct? Do you have any kind of GPS system installed in your car to know exactly the peak speeds that your hitting?
Thx, and Happy Thanksgiving!

On the 275 40 17 tires which are about 1 inch bigger than the stock size I see about 165 on the back straight.
I don't have any GPS in the car but really should get some. I'm pretty much a slacker when it comes to modifying my cars etc.... I just like driving
Here's a vid of my fastest lap and there's GPS on it. Car was fresh off a new turbo kit, alignment and good tires and it was a perfect day so the car was super fast.

Here's a vid from this weekend with PCA
Will write something up tomorrow and put up another vid
The red cayman was FAST and obviously so is the flat black one. Had fun with the red car during a couple of sessions.
Took the DD FD (stock wheels etc....) so wasn't fast but the car didn't embarrass itself at all. The 1st lap in the vid is a 2.10 in traffic
The new pavement is BADASS!!!!!, the paddock is BADASS!!!!!, VIR is BADASS!!!!!
See vid:
Next one won't have music hehe

There is a chance, it's definitely FASTER!!!
Thanks man!
I was actually surprised when watching the vids, which tells you how much faster the course is. I'd say as much as 2 to 3 seconds. It will be interesting to see what the NASA guys do this weekend.
Yep it was nice before but now it's exceptionally nice and smooth.

So I sold the GT3 the week before this event, the track car is down at a shop in NC having the front 1/2 cage put in, fresh paint and body work and the backup track FD I bought from Kyle (majik) is at PFS getting prepped still so I'm left with a daily driver for my 1st event of the year and it's with the fast P cars Nothing to fear the 20 year old daily driver FD can still keep up with the big dogs and then some.
Now for what everyone is waiting for; the newly paved VIR is AWESOME!!!!!, the paddock is AWESOME!!!!! especially for us track rats who have their car on jack stands half the time laying on the ground. Why was I on the ground; I was changing caster over and over until it felt right, draining and filling the diff you know the usual “Almost Racing” track side work. So back to VIR and the wonderfully fantastic pavement job, yep it’s all that and then some. Braking and turning into 1, there’s more grip everywhere, going into 3 you can go out further toward the flag station (slightly wider), turn sooner and stand on the gas because the track out is expanded, the uphill esses are smoothed out so the 1st hump is not the big jump, you turn sooner into 10 and strand on it because you have more track out at the bottom, more room at the back side of oak tree so in hotter and out faster, 17 is smoother so in faster out faster. New pavement equals more grip everywhere so once you combine all these changes it’s likely 2 or 3 seconds faster
Had a student in a NEW C7 corvette, NICE CARS!!!!!!!
The bad news; on the way home the truck broke down so I had to unload most everything into the track car, get the truck towed to a ford dealer in Danville and leave the trailer with a super cool used car dude.
Just the usual “Almost Racing” weekend but I missed my team mates, one flew the Coo Coo’s nest to big ole TX and the other had to work leaving me in a dark P car filled alley with a knife at a gun fight
Here's another vid:

haha, i just traded in my 6.0. Excellent truck, forgettable engine. Have a 2014 Ram/Cummins now. Anyway, looks like my car is very similar to your, i bet you're at least 20 seconds faster than me..lol
How do the brakes hold up? I imagine I'm a lot harder on brakes than you are since you can drive so much better than I can. I have HP+ pads f/r and had a little fade at gateway park last year coming off the main straight into turn 1, which was 140-80 or so, but fairly short track so not as much recovery time between hard braking events. Just wondering if its pad or technique or a little of both.
Jason

Even a mildly modded fd gets put through its paces by you haha looked like you were passing some quick porsches although that white and green one was gone...
,
Great vid man sucks that the race car wasn't ready . but it really looked likethat fd handles quite well .
and about the new vette , did you get to drive it any?
