Brake Cleaner- Welding- Phosgene Gas- Death

Since this thread involves welding, thought I'd pass along this link. Basically, beware of brake cleaner brands that use tetrachloroethylene as vapors can decompose or turn into harmful or FATAL Phosgene gas under argon gas (TIG/MIG welding) with no antidote and/or hydrogen chloride. Phosgene gas is fatal in as little as 4-ppm (a wiff of smoke).

Be careful.

thanks for the kind words!

here we have the expansion tank as well as the overflow tank, I looked up some of these on the usual race part sites and found them to be ridiculously expensive so I decided to make them myself.

Beautiful work. I know you have heard that before a couple hundred times.. but seriously.. Very nice work.
I think.. if I was building a FD to race.. you are doing all the things I would do with VERY little difference.

It is very nice.. one of those things where someone asks.. What all do you have done to your N/A FD? You can HONESTLY say Everything.
There are very few people who can say that.

Quite impressed.

thank you again for the kind words, below is the seat I'll be using, it's the same one in all of my post except I gave it a face lift. I bought some suede leather at the local leather shop and went to town.

wheel fitment

Here you can see the tool I borrowed to figure out wheel fitment.

I can easily fit a 10.5" wheel, I could go bigger as well but I don't feel a need (especially considering the cost of bigger tires).

FENDERS!!!

excuse the whiteout on the wheel, I was using that to photo shop different wheels on to the pic.

BIG thanks to my buddy CUDA who made the wrap process possible!

The process isn't too bad, it can get a little frustrating at times, good thing Cuda and I go back a long time, so we didn't kill each other

I added a NACA duct to the door to feed the tranny and diff cooler with fresh air, as you can see I added a Gurney flap to catch maximum air.

Name: IMG_2018-1.jpg
Views: 433
Size: 81.7 KB

Here you can see the hoses that route the air to the coolers

Name: IMG_2021.jpg
Views: 458
Size: 150.9 KB

BTW when you open the door the NACA duct stays attached to the roll bar and the door just has the hole in the shape of the NACA, that allows easy access from the passenger side without having to deal with any hoses.

I told you guys I hadn't stopped working!

I installed all four air jacks, these things are really cool (expensive but cool).
