No idle, running horizontal through the map. water temp sensor?

So my power fc isnt holding idle, i have to initialize it every time i do a cold start, the boost readings are off, and its running pretty much just a horizontal line across rows P09 , P10, or P11. Could this be due to my water temp sensor reading in the commander being blank, throwing off corrections?

You have not provided enough info to help you diagnose the issue

I fixed the water temp reading, my fuel temp connector was plugged into the water thermosensor. Driveability has improved, but in Map Trace mode I'm still only running horizontally across P09, and unable to idle. What other information should I provide?

Your map sensor is reading no vacuum, which implies that hose is disconnected or not connected to a vacuum/boost source.

I have the map sensor's vacuum hooked up and the check valve is facing the correct way. So is just replacing the sensor a good bet?

There is no check valve, there is a filter that flows in both directions. There is an arrow that should be pointing towards the UIM. Try charging vacuum sources, the fact that it is reading a signal implies that the sensor is not bad, otherwise it would default the max boost.

Idle is working now. That seemed to be unrelated, perhaps the powerfc just needed a REALLY long time to learn the idle.

The map problem persists though. I have tried several different vacuum sources, flipping the filter, but its still running an almost entirely horizontal line in ghost map trace.

It will start out at P09, and get into P10/P11 if I get on it and build some boost. I've tried swapping map sensors with the same results. On the sensor screen, PIM is reading 2.67v with the engine off.

It will get over 3v when i start getting into boost, and very slowly drop back down in .01v increments

Starting to sound like you have a bad PFC. Did you buy it new or used?

would the best way to confirm this be to plug in my stock ecu and read the map voltage?

Easiest way to test it, would be to install the PFC into another FD.

So I changed the vacuum source once more and the voltage was reading better, 1.XXV. I tried removing the filter for a minute too, and the map trace seemed to be moving around as it should. Going to pick up a replacement filter and give that a shot.

ecu connector #1 seems to be where the problem lies

are you sure you don't have a messed up harness? ie, best solution is to replace it.

Yeah I was trying to narrow this down first because of how expensive they are...I'm going to do an overlay from the ecu to the map's signal to rule it out before I pony up.
