Connecting PFC w/o cutting 4 wires??

Has anyone tried connecting the PFC without cutting the 4 wires? What do you think would happen, if anything?

Just wondering......

search...get dale clark's guide...someone has done it before and its not good, if you don't want to cut the wires, then you can pull the pins out of the harness with the wire still in tact (search for a guide), or you can just cut off the pins on the PFC itself, your choice

u can crimp on male and female spade connectors. that way rewiring back to stock for diagnosis is simply reconnecting spade terminals. also color coat them egr=green on ecu side as well as harness side. it will help avoid coonfusion later on.

If you look in the manual and determine what the pins control, and if those devices are not on your engine; then there is no need to cut them.

Time for you to do some research.

i installed mine with pins intact and had a strange idle bounce when the car reach a certain temperature. (temperature at which the fans are to come on) I cut the wires and now the car runs great.

The more modified an engine is, normally the less or none of the pins need to be cut. Read my first post on this thread. Do what I mentioned and you will learn something. I even have previously posted what they control.

on a stock engine with all emissions, i have seen that also, when fans would come on, idle would start to hunt. Stopped when we cut the wires.

Nothing bad happens if you don't cut them. Two things happen. First is you have an picky idle. It'll bounce around sometimes, other times it's normal. Second thing is that the E/L (electrical load) detector is always on. This partly causes the picky idle.
