Why do you want a sr20 in your fd? Most 240sx owners replace their factory ka24's with a sr20det because they come stock from the factory. But instead of keeping their ka24 and building it then boosting they'll end up with a lot more torque. And again no offense but swapping a sr20 in a rx-7 is kind of stupid. Why not swap a h22 in there and hit VTACK!?

A 3sgte would be a better option. Or just do a 2jz, the kits are available.

3rd Gen 3sgte will be real nice in the FD with 6spd Altezza tranny. But the SR20 will be cheaper. You basically make the same power out of both. The SR will be easy to get the only thing of the 3s swap is getting the tranny. Good luck if you go that route.

Alot of people actually go with the SR20 instead of the KA simply because of the weight difference. Sure the KA is a bullet proof motor, but it's pretty heavy.

2JZ is an awesome powerplant, I will be the first to say that. But unless your going for like 600Hp, wouldn't the SR20 be a little bit more practical?

I personally think that next to a rotary powerplant, an SR20 would be possibally the next best thing. Numbers like 350WHP are very practical, and VERY reachable(sp?). And it would be interesting to see the weight balance of an SR20 swap next to a 2JZ swap, and then in comparason (sp?) to stock.

The sr20 FD that you speak about was GREY and had a c-west body kit on and was in a tuner magazine... I dont remember where I last saw this picture but it was the scanned magazine page if I remember correctly.
