Sr20 in Rx7
Sup fellas,
My engine blew 2 times in the last 2 years =/. I can get a sr20 for about 3 grand less than a rebuilt engine that i wont have to baby. Did anyone already try this set up? i know the sr20 puches about 205-230 i think it was. Can someoen justify if this set up would work? dont mock me i havent driven my 7 is 4 months im getting kinda desperate here.

Why not do what 90% of most people on this board do when they drop the 13B, and go LS-1 or LS-6 ? You'd be making much more power than an SR 20 would ever put out (not to mention the aluminum block), its more commonly done, and there are handfuls of shops who specialize in stuff like that.
One question tho, why the SR20? I mean, if you look at the cost and compare it to any other "reliable" options out there (including engine tuning, radiator, etc etc), why go for that motor? Not trying to sound like a dick, but I honestly want to know why people are sooo impressed by the SR20?

LS1 conversion is very comon place, especially here on this board. many people have even thrown them in 2nd gens and Miata's. run a quick search, i found over 7 threads on the first page alone with my first try.
