Renesis 13B-MSP into FC chassis how to
Sorry to bother you, but all of the sheet metal cutting places I have contacted have told me those engine and trans mount drawings don't have enough dimensions for them to cut them out. Do you have CAD files you could share?

Yeah, I have the DXF files I can send you if you are getting them cut on a CNC. Shoot me a PM.
I just happened to stumble across this thread. Lots of great information here and progress here! It's nice to see someone contributing such detailed swap information/files, etc. Hopefully, this helps more people down the road

Thanks, I hope it helps people too. I can't tell you how much fun it is driving this car, and for the price it's hard to beat. I had a friend of mine from out of town stop by and drove the car. He has a large turbo FC and preferred this configuration to his own car. I've said it before, it's not fast by any means, but it's well balance and has a good amount of torque which makes daily driving it around town a blast.
I also forgot to add the actual CAD files if people want to laser cut the motor mounts:
Drivers side mount
Passengers side mount
Transmission mounts

Just want to help people in the future doing this,
Instead of modifying the engine fuel system to be return, you can just use a corvette combo regulator and filter like the wix 33737 and run just the single line into the rail like a stock rx8

Hi just wanted to say this is the holy grail on this swap but I was wondering if you know if running the haltech standalone harness will bypass the “handshake” from the rx8 key or not I know some companies out there will wipe a stock ecu to bypass it
The Haltech would replace the stock Rx8 ECU entirely, along with the need for the key and all of that. It makes the electronics side of this swap much simpler in my opinion, but that of course comes at an increased cost.
okay I figured that would be the case the cost does suck agreed the cheapest one I found was 1200 with a new harness and ecu I only ask because it’s one of those “time or money “ situations
Keep in mind that the cheapest Haltech's (550/750) will not do drive by wire or have enough IO to run the OMP - so if you wanted to keep the Rx8 throttle body and OMP you will need at least a Elite 1500, or Nexus S2 to run it... Apparently there are some additional considerations around the 5/6 port actuation but I have not had personal experience with that (my rene swap is a 4 port)
Fun fact - a 96-04 Mustang (4.6 liter) throttle body will bolt up to the Rx8 upper intake with some very minor adjustments and those are cable driven throttle - if you didn't want to keep DBW...

I bought a new, no-name brand one from ebay a few years ago to test fit etc. There are some locating pins on the Rx8 upper intake that would need to be ground off (very easy since it's plastic) but otherwise the bolt pattern is same between the two. You would also need to figure out a cable and cable mounting location. I ended up getting another DBW capable Haltech and kept it DBW so I didn't sort out the cable setup.
Also, I can't take credit for this - I actually saw a post on another forum (honestly can't even remember which) many years ago where someone mentioned it since they were using a Rene in some random project and didn't want to use DBW.
Edit: was able to find the original thread which shows a pic of it installed: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-eng...-found-268097/

Very interesting I seen a guy on yt used a “ford tb”couldn’t figure out which one till now also he made a makeshift bracket to hold the cable in place. I knew of megasquirt on eBay and such but most already married I ended up running across this “bundle” https://www.tunedbyshawn.com/product...engine-harness has most of what I need might try to get away with using the fc harness and this to get some stuff running and when I feel comfortable enough maybe try and tackle putting the two together
