I want to measure the bellhousing bolt pattern and this would be easiest with it removed from the gearbox. Is this as straight forward as unbolting it and splitting the joint ?

Otherwise does anyone have an accurate drawing with the dimensions on it ?

 

I'm pretty sure the RX8 bell housing is cast into the trans case. Not removable.

It does unbolt, but this will split the box open. What I want to know is, is this going to come off easily ( and go back together easily), or do I need to strip it from the tail shaft end first ?
