Wicked! I'm curious how much those rotors end up weighing, my modified s4 n/a rotors are 4250 grams, that includes the rotor gear but does not include the rotor bearing or any seals. Did you see the billet rotors hayward rotary in the uk made? They don't have the bolted on side plates as seen on the mazdatrix billet rotors, it's a 1-piece design. Anyway carry on!

There are 0,7mm endmills. I think a very high rpm spindle and lot's of shallow passes are needed though. Anyway looking spectacular as usual!, carry on

I know there is small endmills :-)
But as you say, you need a million rpm and alot of time :-)
Also, the endmills I've looked at doesnt have the lenght for this gap.

Thanks!

I bought a bunch of new rotors. How do I comfirm that they are 9.7:1-compression?
I have weight them, but all the newer rotors have the same weight. The 28cc in the comb-chamber are kind of tricky to check, or?

Compare depth of pocket TII vs NA rotor and you will see easily...

I have a couple sets also. They have machined faces that look very different from all the other rotors. I wish there was a contour gauge that would work or some sort of tub gauges made from the molds of tubs to help tell the difference.
I have them all. Maybe i will make some molds. Or any other ideas anyone has..

C'mon guys! How about a little search- here's root weight and compression chart on Mazdatrix web-
http://www.mazdatrix.com/faq/rotorwgt.htm
As you notice- the 9.7 rotors have a 26cc combustion chamber/bathtub - lower compression rotors will have larger bathtubs than this. Not rocket science

How you measure it is simple, poor distilled water or other fluid on a face :p and the put that in a measure beaker.

@ultimatejay: you can go 28cc but with a less deeper cut. But as you states, its just math.
