A small update. I actually decided to weld my own aluminum and its not as pretty as if I paid someone but I am very proud of the fact that they are my welds. I also worked on the Upper Radiator pipe using some stainless. Came out good. I then wrapped the Downpipe.

Quick update...found a simple but effective way to mount my FPR using a spacer and began running the fuel lines. The list is getting smaller...ETA is looking like Wednesday for first start with the car driving sometime next weekend.

Cool. That sure makes it easier compared to the REW waterpump, I wasn't aware the RX8 pump spins in the other direction

 

Im 95% done with everything on top...UIM, throttle, turbo, Downpipe, Harness, Heater/Rad hoses, etc have been installed permanently. Now Im waiting for the radiator water tank (should arrive tomorrow) and then I have the stuff under the car (starter, O2 sensor, joining Downpipe to Midpipe etc)...Just an evening or so more...

Just a quick view of the wastegates from the passenger's wheel well...Tight, but not as tight as it looks...they have good clearance all around...Soooo dificult to install...lol

Well....it started this afternoon but when I came back 4-5hours later I couldnt get it to start...

I'm thinking it was so rich on that first start that I flooded it...I will try again tomorrow...
