Rotor Housing????????????????

I just picked a Mazda RX2 with a 12A in it. The motor is very dirty. I want to know what do I need to do in order to get it to shine. Do I just polish it or do I get Chromed? Thanks in Advance.

Get out yor elbow grease and start cleaning and polishing.. you will be able to polich the housings but you will have to paint the iron and acessories

Are you contemplating turbocharging this motor?

you might want to ask around from someone that knows more than I do but if I were you I'd swap the rotors and the eccentric shaft from a 12a from a rx7. The rotors from those engines have a better design when it comes to the carbon seals. That and when you need to change seals it's easyer to find the apex seals for those rotors than it is to find the ones for the original 12a rotors. Just a thought

If you want to polish the housings, you better off taking it apart and check the guts, maybe even rebuilding it, send out the housings to the polisher. Just my .02 cents
