REPU call out

Hey all you REPU owners. I want to start collecting parts so i can mock up the truck before i blow it all apart for restoration. What has everyone done to upgrade the braking system?

Suspension wise outside of what EZDUZT did to lower his, what have you all done. I love the stance of his truck and would like mine to sit about the same.

Engine wise I'm not worried as it has a street port right now and I have a 13B-PP sitting in my race car that i think will find it's way into the truck once i boost the race car.

Just leaf springs in the rear, so long as the U-bolts are right you could stuff a dually axle under there. Might need a custom Drive shaft but would beat trying to rebuild or replace the two piece one or the center support. Seats and console suck, but not enough room in the cab for buckets, oh the the shift lever is best swapped with an SA's. Not sure about brakes or wheels but the only other six bolts I've seen that would be worth it are Nissan's from the pathfinder and pickup, Two piston sliders and alloys but some assembly may be required.

I have the brake system worked out and I'm going to install my extra GSL-SE rear end with respeeds moser axles and TII rear disc upgrade. The fronts are getting the 4 pot TII calipers and disc's. I need to find some nice 5 bolt rim's. I dont want anything to flashy, I would like a set of lenso's but i know that won't happen. I'm upgrading the headlights to the Hella conversion with HID's from my shop. I will leave the bench seat in it but i will get it redone.

The original bench is like a mattress pad wrapped around a few pieces of re-bar, later units from junkyard rangers and b2000's are much better but too high for the low roof. Even with the rails removed and buckets on the floor my head rubbed the roof and the **** pit position was awkward to say the least. Nothing electrical worked, the whole harness was cut and by passed with some shitty speaker wire by the PO. One time the headlights quit for the hell of it in the middle of the desert and we had to tail a T-bird to follow the road, he got spooked and punched it and so we got up over a hundred quick and had to swerve with a load in back to miss a merging SUV that could hear but no see us.

By comparison my current BMW dd is down right tame in exhilaration.

Depending on what you can register there I always thought one of those lightweight tube frame pre-runner chassis would hoot with a wankel.
