lovely little starlet- popular back in NZ but here in england they have all rusted way or gone to Ireland as they have a race series there for them!
Your car reminds me of my 12a powered chevette i built- sounds very simular..
http://www.chevettes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11982
I miss it!!! But I have my 3 to keep me company (excluding cats and girlfriend...)
Does it sound louder with the webber?
Is it more 'punchy'?
I have a 12A webber manifold I brought over from NZ with me but not yet a webber...

chevettes are a gm car. Chevy chevette in us. Kadett in europe. Vauxhall Chevette in nz and england. Isuzu gemini japan and holden gemini in oz.
Cool little cars. Still quite common and cheap. Light weight and handle well. Linked rear end and double wishbone front.
There must be a few converted in usa to rotary! ?

yeah i wanna get there sometime. Especially p rico- has a massive rota scene hasn't it? And old work mate from our bike shop is a good rally driver in barbados- races a little starlet actually, barry mayers is his name.
Chevette we sold to a young fella in ireland and 4 days later he crashed it into a tree. Totaled it! Shame .

Update:
Ordered a few jets today per the advices of you guys
Main Jet [200]
Emulsion Tube F11
Air Corrector Jets IDA [150]
Idle Jet 48 IDA [65]
Still need to find out what chokes I have so I decide if I need to buy a diff pair of chokes or use the ones I currently have, need the 300 Needle since the one I have is a 200 needle and the mani for the carb.
A friend is going to sell me a mani for this carb so hopefully I should be using it soon
Can I just use the 200 needle I have ?
Thanks

Got a DANA 44 rear end after I smashed mine last week at the track. Its a 4.88 and I am desperate to try it on the starlet, should have her back with the new rear end in 1 or 2 days.
What can I do besides welding this rear end to make it spin both wheels at the same time(POSI)???

If your going to do alot of street driving then I wouldn't recommend welding the gears because you will wear out your tires very fast and put alot of wear and tear on your drivetrain, especially your axles. I would recomend a nice posi unit or detroit locker for street/track cars and full spool for drag cars.

I am not welding it no matter what. The rear end is installed and man this thing is wayyyy fast now that the gears are shorter. I will have to cut the rear end since this one is like 1 inch larger than the stock one and I want the wheels to stay under the fenders.
This now feels like the whole car will brake except the damn rear end

Guys the new rear end is in . The wheel sticks out more on the left side than the right . I will shorten this diff so the damn wheels stick inside the fenders.
With this new rear the car hooks pretty good on the street with the MTs, going to the dyno today to find out what A/F I am running and will go to the track next saturday if the weather allows it.
What do you guys think?? Any inputs will be appreciated.

lol cute...my friend had a starlet that him and his dad bought for 800 bux and let me tell you it was an old lady that owned it and it was in mint condition, lol he let me drive it and i took it on the hwy and it was a very scary ride...i had it floored doing maybe 80mph which is like the top speed i think and aroung 60mph is when i started to feel the lift off type feeling lol if it was for my boy and his girl i wouldve been air born, but either way its a fantastic car when modded!!!

"they don't flow enough unless all you are going to run is a stock port."
No offense to your carb as I heard it is a good product, but I don't know of one serious all motor N/A race car using one.
Since you singled out my product specifically and did nothing but talk **** about it, I figured you needed someone to correct you on the facts.
-Thanks for all your help Mel. You're one hell of a friend.
