Thumbs up Any chance in finding roots to a southern RX3 race car?

I figured it was worth a shot my dad and I went down pretty far into GA to buy a RX3 pretty cheap. The RX3 is blue and has plenty of racing stickers on it IMSA, SCCA, Road Atlanta. When we picked it up it was missing the bumpers and grill and had some fat slicks all the way around.

I would love to find some more info about this RX3 where it raced, what class was it built by somebody cool those types of thing. I will post up some pictures soon!!

I agree.... doesn't look like a race car. It has full interior.. no roll cage... Also I spot a Cosmo in the back ground

Yes the interior and lack of a cage are a little odd but it did come with slicks on it and racing stickers on it. so maybe the old owner was just a gay ricer idk?

4 cosmos
1 RX-3
3 REPUs

Looks like just a fan's car. Maybe a corner worker etc. Might have been auto-x'd in a Prepared class that allowed slicks or they might have just been near the car and were thrown in the deal at some point.

Definately not a race car for the track without a cage.

What part of Georgia did it come from? I may know someone who owned it... I lived in Georgia for 30 years.

We actually bought the RX3 little over a year ago, just havnt done anything with it yet..Parts have been real hard to locate parts that affordable.
I cant remember what part of GA we were in but I know we were pretty close to TN I would say within 20 miles.

Probably a club racer/hillclimb/solo car.

Cages generally aren't required on fixed roof cars if there isn't another car on the course to punt you off or t-bone you when you spin.
