anyone else suprised by it? was in Tacoma at 130 pm it was so loud I felt it in my chest.

I was in tacoma at Mary Bridge Hospital where my Girlfriend was in surgery.. Was sitting outside smoking and Holy ****. I though it was a bomb. Really scared me.

i didnt hear the boom, but i was out working near skykomish on hw 2 near stevens pass and heard and saw a jet hauling *** over the mountain, it was pretty loud. a 2nd jet flew by a few min later but it wasnt nearly as loud

 

NORAD saw a plane in the "no fly zone" around Air Force One and send the two '15s after it. Woulda been interisting as hell to see them leave PDX. Full Military Power take off and Zoom Climb to altitiude. then a Mach Two sprint to Peirce county!

Not something we normally get anymore since the it is "Highly Frowned Upon" to go super sonic over the Continental states. Its really ******* anoying as some of you have found out.

God I hope one of the pilots had a video camera on!

i was working in puyallup, we heard it inside the store with the door close and air condition I was thinking that the garbage truck must have hit the building by mistake!!!

 

It was awesome I was at work and I watched an older gentlemen jump from his chair screaming something and diving under the table. I know that it shouldn't be funny because thats one traumatized man but I couldn't help but laugh

I was in downtown seattle and I didnt hear shiet....

 

I had just got to work as a sub at another store and me and the guy i was taking over for thought somebody had hit the building.

 

yea i heard the boom. More like My felt it. I must say it was loud. Two sets of Two i think. I thought a truck bomb went off.. My Blinds Snapped in and out of my window like it got hit by a friggin basket ball.

 

I heard two ba-booms and then some shaking of the garage door. I was looking at it when the second one occoured and it looked like someone punched the garage door twice really fast and then, holding the handle, shook it for about three seconds. I was very annoyed but then I looked outside, nobody was there. Kinda freaky.

 

Those were our alert jets. It's comforting that they can be airborne in minutes. Theres much more action in Alaska. The russians have started to test us by flying where they shouldn't so we were intercepting them with the alert jets up there almost on a weekly basis.

You figure 15 mins top to scamble the pilots and prep the plane. 2-4 to get to altitude. and then a mach 1.6(ish) cruise to the poor mach .6 on a good day bear. God I love our jets.

close to 20 years later and they STILL have that red star on the old Bear. Amazing.
