It's very expensive.
There are so many titanium exhaust systems in Japan.

I can't imagine theres $2500 worth of advantage in that. Thats nearly the price of an M2 turbo upgrade!

Seriously, how light and how much better COULD it flow compared to a pedestrian apex GT/midpipe combo?

you can get a HKS Hiper Titanium exhuast here, but that still is big $$$. If you want an exhuast like that, get a Apexi GT-Spec.

Where do these companies get charge huge prices like that, I personlly think would be a smarter business move for some of these companies to lower there prices, I would say the average 3rd gen owner makes under 40K a year, and these cars are old now. How many of these exhaust is feed going to sell in the US, probaly under 5, now if the price was the same as the Apex GT they would sell a lot more over a year to the US and Canda so they would be making more of a profit.
Some point they are going to have to lower these crazy prices since people aren't going to pay that much.

here's one for Quivver, just in case he's still reading

fujita engineering are a rotary specialist, not a multinational selling cannon exhausts for every jdm car ever made. therefore, I'd say they couldn't give two f`cks for the US market, which (relatively speaking) sold sfa FDs up to 95.

that said, they do charge significantly more than some of the other major players (probably somewhat due to the size and manufacturing ability of the company) - yet they still manage to put some big advertising $$$ into the japanese market - so my guess is they are doing just fine. I have a few feed parts on my car - and I'm pretty impressed with the quality - it's better than some of the name brands out there

DAMN where is that price from?

You can get the Mid-pipe and Muffler all Titanium for about $2200. shipped

The muffler does sound nice though, little bass little rasp, nice..... I went for a ride in their Spirit R last year, fun.....

Is anyone in the U.S. a dealer for Fujita Eng.? Their prices are more than most, but I'd be interested to see if their products were available for less cost due to volume purchasing/cheaper shipping rates. It would be nice to order/pick up an item w/o the waiting period and see the quality of what you're buying upfront. So far I have their door handles, I purchased them from Corksport, in Ore. I got a better price than what I saw them for on Feed's website. And though a 3hr drive oneway- I paid for my gas/time in the savings and had them on my car the next day. I wish they stocked more Feed products, I'm waiting for my front bumper and engine accesories and it will be another month because of shipping by ship to reduce costs.

Yes there is only 1 AUTHORIZED US dealer in the US. The thing is a lot of companies buy straight from Japan (hehe) and then send them in bulk if they can and turn and profit and still be cheaper then the AUTHORIZED dealer.

feed Ti exhaust system?

So........ is there that much of a difference in power when it comes to this expensive exhaust compared to some of the other Ti products out there? It weighs like 8 lbs right? Don't most of the other Ti exhausts weight about the same? jus curious?

From what I hear, HKS makes a good TI exhaust. And so does Greddy. Bottom line is: It's your money, do what you wish. My recommendation, I would just find a downpipe/midpipe from somewhere and get a cat-back TI system. Although having a midpipe defeats the purpose of the name "cat-back."

More or less. All TI systems weigh around 10 -20 lbs. I don't think there is a real advantage to having a TI system except for weight reduction. A regular exhaust system weighs around 50 lbs. (Maybe a little more) I think you can polish any exhaust to make it flow really well. It all depends on how much time you have. I could be completely wrong with this, but it was worth saying.

P.S. If you build a car with 400-500 hp, a heavier exhaust won't hurt anything. It depends on how much you're willing to save in weight.

HKS doesn't sell a full TI exhaust. All their "TI" cat backs have SS piping, and a TI muffler or a CF muffler with a TI tip. However, the TI cat back that Greddy offers is full TI.

I'm sure the HKS "TI" exhausts weight in at ~10-20 lbs., but the Greddy, and other full TI exhausts are only ~10 lbs.

Maybe a factory exhaust thats mild steel. All the aftermarket SS exhausts are ~20 lbs. (cat back)
