Hey Guys I read this thread awhile back and thought that must be the same dave I bought my 8 from I just added another to the stable I helped my son acquire an FD one of 84 r2’s built in 94 she’s in Florida named her FDR2 were looking for a shipper now .

Josh and I will be at the track come summer.
I know how much Dave hated to sell the 8 nice thing is he can still drive her when were at the track together.

Looking forward to meeting up. Ron

Paid 17 it’s silver and very clean with less than 10 k on a rebuild and 77 k on the car and minimal mods

Part of the deal was if I helped Josh get his dream car he will not own a street bike while I’m alive.

I’ll have a good time comparing times with the boy on the track
From what I heard at Pineapple today the 8 has a more ridged chassis with less flex than the stock FD to bad I don’t have 15k for a na 20b for the 8

Dave’s mods are awesome on this car love the magnet tires the sway bars are great lucky for me I live at the edge of town have miles of country roads at the mouth of the gorge I love to take the long way to town.

LOL, nice incentive for your son to not get a bike while your alive, geez. Put him through some driver training already I hope.

The 8 does have a more rigid chassis, you'll enjoy it at the track.

See ya at the track!

Well first off, Rob handled the whole deal very properly. He had me transport the car to his shop so that he could see my Haltech settings and set up. We checked all connections and did some CSI forensics on oil splatter patterns! I ( I meaning Spyder, Moto, and Bobby) then removed the engine and took it to him so we could tear it down. He insisted that I be there to watch. As the pieces fell apart, we saw the end result. Carnage! Rob looked for all evidence of pinging/heat/starvation, etc. After looking at several pieces under a microscope we said "uuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh? I dunno?!" There was no evidence either way of fault. At this point we discussed 3m seals, and his offer which I believe proper and generous, was to give me a set of machined rotors and all of the labor at n/c if I purchased the 3m seals.
Rob is a great guy and has a smart business sense. I will always stand behind his decisions and am glad to refer him to anyone I know. What do you guys think?

Man did I melt those fuel lines on the Rabbit or what!

Geez, I wonder why it takes a 30 degree of effort on the sterring wheel to do anything? Well what do you know, the steering rack mounting brackets are done broke.

Man the Rabbits a new car now. Now the truck tomorrow. Yeah.
