LOL I'm going to research if they had some old native american summer dance or somthing. My luck I'd get the rain dance or worse maybe the tornato dance. at least you don't get the wind chill in the garage. I can only do small sperts. BTW changing the spark plugs in a rotary with power steering and A/C is a PITA. You gotta do it by feel. getting the socket on to tighten it is the hardest part.

Update.

Ok, so i redid the driver side wing, it didnt match to 7.1 inches behind the roof and was 1/8th inch wider..ugh.. So i redid it and its done, glazing work is finished as well is the "extended" gas door, the kits original gas tank door was supposed to sit in and we both decided it needed to be flush like the mode 1 kits is...

So i live at the foothills of the willamite pass outside philomath and its a bit colder out here, i have a 35,000 BTU heater, two large oil heaters and my wifes(hehe) salon hair dryer, and this is as hot as i can get my insulated shop...UGH!

Close!

done, but not hinged, so this is just mocked up, the spacing turned out great, and the inside is like it never was any different

So a few more hours of 320 sanding on the body to get it down a little more, and then taping and the car will be ready for primer! Hoping for this sat or sunday as they say it will be getting above 9 degrees at night,lol... If its over 40 i can get the shop to 90 warm it all up, then open the vents to spray, close it and keep it at 70 for the hours it needs to cure!! Heres how it sits now, pretty much ready for primer, blocking and paint! Been a long few months, but its there! (note the dust in the air-finally got a camera out there besides my phone- and thats why i want you to wear the respirator chris!) :P

Gigity!!! Close to primer

Notice in those last few pictures how clean the floor is... yeah, I did that.... without a respirator.. cough cough.. maybe not the brightest idea

Wish we could be painting everything, but, the weather and temperatures just aren't cooperating. So, at least for a little while, I'll be cruz'n in a primer white 7

Just fitment for front bumper, rear half bumper, skirts, and wing.
You don't have to paint, it needs to be stripped and fitted for a
cage, and converted to rhd before I even consider paint.

its tedious and difficlult but standing over the shoulders of the body men for the years i did, sure paid off,lol.... Its nice watching several people with 20-40 years under their belt do it, they show you some very interesting ways to get your fingers into spots and get the tape to bend in ways that you wouldnt think possible,lol... Thanks!!! I cant wait for color!!! Then the next meet

Looks great joe! people don't realize often just how important a really good mask job is, or how tedious! Is this a roller? You pullin the hood and shooting it seperate so you can shoot the engine bay as well? Did you guys consider masking and shooting a coating on the inside fender wells while you have it easilly accessible? Sorry, not tryin to be a pain, but when I shot my old mustang, after final assembly and everything .... THEN it occured to me I should have put a coating in the wheel wells while I had it all pre-paint. Anyhow, great job. I don't envy all the sanding and color sanding etc. still to go! LOL

we are going to do the engine bay as a seperate shoot. He has heavilly modded the bay and the wiring would be a nightmare, so its going to be seperate. After its all cured and color sanded and buffed we will start on that! And the inside fender wells will be done as well in this shoot .

I've already told you Joe, when I'm ready for paint, hopfully soon I'll be having you spray it. I just joke about the multi colors. It does add to satisfaction of smoking nicer cars. they think its some broken POS witch it kinda is, but it moves, and quicker than you would think.
