Great job so far!In my experience people REALLY have no concept of the amount of work that goes into making thier rides so pretty. Nice glass work. Bet Bearzah is learning some very useful things helping out. Can't wait to see the pics after paint.

MUCHO MUCHO work... In upwards of 2-3 months by the time everything is done and polished. And just like the turbo install... figure out how much it's gonna cost and DOUBLE or even TRIPLE it and you MIGHT be close.

As far as learning... I am definetely learning how little I know about glass and filler/leveling work. and how much Joe knows = WAY MORE THAN ME.

I keep telling Joe he needs to open up a business.. he's got skills!! It seems that right now, he is more concerned with doing a quality job and taking his time than having to worry about productivty and making a profit.

Well... side skirts on tonight!!!

So got the wing on, looking like the plan is to mold it to the qtrs now, so it will be seemless and appear to be one piece, as well with the sunroof..

Got the door still sanded down, and prepped, and the skirts cleaned up to match.

epoxy...lol

not quite there....have to make new lines...

Cleaned up and ready to be level!

FINALLY got the damn wheel wells done and the seemless fender-bumper!

TEASER PICS!

And the classic "profile" picture

These pics do no justice for the work done. I saw the car in person and the craftsmanship Joe's putting in is immaculate. Awesome work. I really want a wide body now.... maybe someday

lol... Yeah i have a really crappy camera phone and thats what i use for pics.... I get ok shots but it doesnt really show the lines or the curves to the body when its not primmed. I do the best i can, its what i love to do. The thing i love most about doing it is seeing what it would cost at a local shop then NOT charging what they would, its RETARDED what they charge to have this work done. Thats the main reason i originally got into it seven years ago,lol..
I cant wait till i am 40 and have all those years under my belt and the experience gained from all that! Well another full day in the shop and i got the driver stills and the rear micro work done.. I started on the dr side wing, but it still needs alot more work, but that'll have to wait till tomarow,i'm beat..

Its hard to see, but i carried the lines around to make it seem like it is a one piece set.

Still needs some sanding, this about when i got tired, lol

No its not done,lol..

ok so i got the pass side stills done tonight.. here are some pics.... Off to finish the wing when i get back into town on sunday. AND i set up a fresh air system in the shop today so i can now provide professional shoots without the worry of weather, dust or bugs! Its officially a professional booth, YEAH!

And if you wonder how we get the work in all night....lol.... no, we just are not allowed to get distracted or bored, this **** is what happens..You dont even want to know what got carved into the expanding foam i put around the fresh air inlet pipe

OK, so..... Got the Pass side spoiler mold done, and set down the final micro, and got started on glazing... A few more days of sanding and then it will be ready for first prime.

The whole car is now officially seemless, lol

I've been assured by Joe he is done re-doing all the body work
Which means, we are close to final sanding a taping off for primer

UPDATE: We will not be doing top coat painting this winter. We just haven't been able to maintain warm enough temperatures in the shop for proper curing (we haven't been able to break 55* in the shop). Soooooo, i will be running around in primer until the temps get a little warmer in the spring. All is good!!!

I have no clue how cold it is but I've been ouside all day trying to get my T2 fixed. and the FB is out of gas I think. I've got no running 7's earlyer this weeks I had 2. I'll be back outside tomarrow. I curse the winter. I've got no garage.

A year or so ago I got stuck swapping a CV axle in the snow. that sucked. so cold my forskin grew back no joke.

**** i had to give up early tonight... Lame.... Even if you have a garage its not like you can keep it a decient temp.. My walls are insulated and i have two oil heaters, a 3500 BTU propane heater and hy ****** hair dryer,lol... And i cant get the shop up to fourty tonight... Then again its about 14 degrees outside right now.....

I'll get some more updated pics up tonight, but most the last week of work has been glazing, and mostly for knicks and sanding scratches so they prob wont show up in pics... However i did finish the wing and the gas tank that have been a real challenge to get the two sides to be identical in curve length and width... So pics in a few...

One more day of sanding glazing and 320 over the whole car again, and i will be taping it off and priming.. I'm not a religious person AT ALL, but hell people, pray for warmer weather!!!!
