Don't think Turbo so fast. Start with a good hiflow exhaust (racing beat, corksport). It is the undisputed best bang for your buck with rx7s. Whereas a little 140 HP piston engine may gain 5-10 HP with a full headers back exhaust, an rx7 will see gains from 15-25 because of the way the rotary engine works. Even a good catback could give 5-10.

This is a rare question.
I don't think that any of the 2000 threads on it can answer.
Look up: Beefy N/A.

I was in the same situaton a few months back. Basically, look into getting upgrades tat will workfor both n/a and turbo models. Your best start is a full exhaust/header. This will allow you to get some extra power while you save up or look around for all the parts to do a tubo swap. You have two choics, make the best out of the n/a version (search around for modification info and power expectancies) or save up and do a turbo swap. Since I am in the middle of all this right now myslef I will tell you that if you want power just enjoy your n/a while saving for a full turbo swap. Right now I'm almost done rebuilding an n/a and realize that if I would have saved for a turbo swap I probably could have gotten all the parts by now. If your engine is running fine don't mess with and just start saving for a swap. The difference between our two vehicles is that when got mine I knew it was on it's last leg and didn't think I cared about it having power so I bought rebuild parts. After driving a turbo model it's definitely the way to go with NCs emission laws. Just my two cents.
