New Member needs Help

Hey Guys,
this is my first time using a forum for cars.
Im from Germany and i need help with my Fc3s.
So basically:

2 weeks ago I bought myself a Fc3s Turbo II
Since then the car wasn’t moved in any way. I just started her up yesterday at around 1pm
She started up immediately and ran completely fine for around 5 minutes.
So everything was fine.

I started her again AT THE SAME DAY at around 5pm.
But shes only running on one Rotor.
I didn’t change anything.
Sometimes you can hear the second rotor fireing but it just wont run normal.
Revs up smooth but only on one rotor.
Idle is runnig at only 600rpm.
Idk whats wrong.
Remember: She was running completely fine 4 hours earlier.

Does somebody have similar experience with this problem? Or do you have a idea?
I would be reeeaally happy about some help from you.

Welcome to the forum.

I'd start with the basics. Fuel and spark.
If the car had sat for a long time, there's likely to be some things that can fail or go wrong.

Check if both rotors are getting spark. Pull the plugs and inspect.
Was there old gas in it? It's possible an injector is clogged from junk.

welcome to the board.

this is a sucky first response, but your first order of business should be a compression test. if it's good, then you know you're chasing something else, if it's bad, then you know you need a rebuild.

yeah that could make sense
it had some old fuel in it
i filled her up with new gasoline before i shared my problem with you because i thought that maybe the tank was empty but that didn’t change anything.
I think it has good spark because sometimes you can hear some fireing.
But a clogged Injector would make sense to me.
Couldn’t i just check if they’re working fine by pulling the trailing sparkplugs and check if gasoline comes out while starting?
Btw thanks a lot for your fast reply 👍🏼

The previous Owner handed me a compression test from last month when he last tested it.
So thats probably not my problem.
All the conpression data were fine.
Thanks for your fast reply.

Yeah that makes sense to me.
It had old fuel in it while the bad running happend.
Before i shared my problem with you, i filled her up with new gasoline because at first i thought she just had an empty tank but that sadly wasnt the problem.
But the spark should be good.
Like i said sometimes you can hear some fireing.
Couldn’t i just check if the injector is clogged by screwing a trail sparkplug out to see if fuel is shooting out of the hole?
Btw thanks a lot for your fast response.

Not exactly. Injectors are on one side of the engine (Passenger Side on a LHD vehicle), while the Spark Plugs are on the opposite side. Unfortunately, the way to test for fuel is that you have to un-bolt the Primary Fuel Rail from the Center Iron, put it in a bowl, then turn the key and see how they spray. It wouldn't surprise me if one or both were clogged. Here in the US, there are a few different companies that clean and test injectors. Injector Rehab comes to mind. I'm fairly certain there is a similar service in Germany too.

I would suggest doing this AFTER replacing the fuel filter. Chances are that it is clogged, hence why it is starving for fuel.

UPDATE !
Thank you guys
You helped me so much.
I figured it out with your help. It was actually a trailing sprakplug + some really oxidized connections on the cables.
I thought they were fine when i checked them. But obviously they werent.
You guys really were a big help. And even if the issue wasn’t something you guys replied with, im still smarter now and know what to check next time something like this happens.
Thanks
