Elite Oil pedestal Issue

Hi everyboy,

I just got the elite rotary oil pedestal for my fd. Unfortunately, the hole for the 18mm banjo bolt is 20mm wide. Was it intended to be used with AN fittings? What should I do?

IMO, return it if you can and never buy anything from them again. Tell anyone else you know who might be tempted to do the same.

Thanks, it is not the first time I had issues with them. Their customer support is garbage. The product description does not state that you need different piping for it to work. I won't be sending it back though, shipping is going to be more expensive than just changing to AN fittings.

I'm back to warn everyone who might consider buying this piece of absolute garbage. After ordering AN fittings to still use the pedestal, I found out that it does not fit at all. It is marketed as a direct replacement for the OEM pedestal, which is an utter lie. It will not, under any circumstances fit on a stock 13B block. The main harness and fuel lines are in the way.

Sorry you got stuck OP. But agree...pics showing the issue would be best. Not sure what rules are but maybe a mod could then move this thread to the bad (fugly) section?

Wow sorry to hear this. I would have never guessed that they do business this way. I follow them on social media and it seems like they are doing well and staying busy working on cars and even remodeling their place of business.

Pretty sure all the regulars here have chimed in on elite at one point or another. I made a thread in the fugly section about them myself. Sal and all his cronies are ***.

I remember working an arson case in the early 90’s. Furniture store full of pretty but way over-priced cheap crap. Sales staff all drove new cars, advertised on local media constantly but only the occasional customer. And when I later spoke to those, few were happy with what they bought or the service. All that, yet the store existed for a number of years. Low and behold one day it burned. Took me almost 2 years but turned out it was just a money laundering mechanism.
Now I’m certainly not saying that’s the case here, but you can’t always go by appearances or media images.
