oil all over engine bay
hey guys ever since i put my car back together it is throwing oil all over the place. i cant figure out where its coming from. im thining it could be the oil bypass pelet, if i replace that will it fix it? or is there a seal on the front pully? where could oil be coming from, that would make it be thrown over the front cover and over on the fenders and stuff?

no i never put a new o-ring on front bolt, but i never took front bolt off. i took pully off and there is no oil behind it, but on the inside where the bolt is there is oil. and yes the oil pressure is good.

Its the oil bypass pellet. I've installed a new seal and washer + teflon tape + tread guard + gasket maker. still leaks.

Completely clean the engine bay, then start the car and watch for leaks. Try not to drive it until you have found the leak since the wind from driving will spread the oil everywhere and you'll never find the source.

Yeah, its that bolt leaking. Buy a new crush washer and rubber seal if you haven't already. Atkins and I'd imagine mazdatrix would sell them. They aren't expensive, and will solve your problem. Then again, didn't solve mine.
