It was flooded to the point of no compression...had to use a bit of ATF fluid and a giant wall of smoke later , it was running again! But in an excited rush of getting it running and swapping batteries, I managed to break the cap for the overflow tank (doh!), so I'm going to hit up CAP for one.

FC guys, the overflow bottle caps from a late 80's early 90's 323 matches perfect!

There's a SA and a FB there...both high mileage, mostly all there though.

David, do you have another junk 13B laying around I could buy off of you? The other motor I got from you has a blown rear rotor and the front rotor had some serious chatter that widened out the apex seal grooves pretty bad. I need to find one or two good rotors and a rotor housing. I also need the lateral link off the rear suspension for my car.
We're gonna start peripheral porting this weekend!

im selling the car because i want another daily driver. the 2.3 is getting (afraid to say as i knock on some wood) VERY close, and im going to make the my dailey driver until i get another car. im looking into either e-30 bmw's or a merkur xr4ti (2.3t powered). chances are i wont sell it though.

the 2.3 like i said is close. my dad's friend at his shop is doing me another favor. i bought a knife edge/ported lower intake manifold.. seen here,

with a rotated upper that is gutted and ported. it (was) a masterpeice, but it sadly hit the hood. we cut and tilted it, and it should be done tomorrow. after that i can hook up the intake, throttle body and finish the intercooler piping (turbo side is already done). after that, its a matter of installing the starter, fuel pump, running the wiring, hooking the cooling system, and she is DONE. also.. heres the wheels im looking to get. dont know what tires though...

i wanted 16x7's but its looking like money is going to take me to 15x6.5's. either way ill be happy to have some RIIIMMMZZZZZ

sorry for the rambling

I like the wheels. What size are you thinking and do those fit the 110mm bolt pattern? or have you switched to 4.5"

Anyone going to the Short Pump Mall this Friday? I have talked with a few friends- sounds like there is going to be quite a turn out. It would be cool to shoot the **** with a bunch of FC guys...

Also, are anyone of you interested in a set of 10th Anniversary wheels? The tires are completely shot and the rims have some curb damage. I do not have any use for them, and I would like to get them out of the shop. However, I do not want to mess with shipping, hence the post here.

I live in the near the Village Ukrops if any of you want to see them first. Trades welcome.

I will probably be at Short Pump Friday.

I have a question. Has anyone ever had a white foamy substance on their oil dipstick? I am a little worried a water seal may have gone. I checked at one point last week and had little droplets of water in the oil on the dipstick....i am getting sick to my stomach.

If it makes you feel any better, I had that all the time with my '83. It's condensation from the oil pan. Even some of the RX-8 owners are noticing that. The good news, as long as your not loosing any coolant via the rad/overflow, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about, it could just be a by product of removed emissions (speeled that wrong) or something not working correctly....who knows!

I just noticed a bearing noise today, I'm hoping to god it's the wheel bearing in the wheel that impacted the curb, not the tranny...get the noise in/out of gear, it's related to speed, it's not clutch related. So, David, I may just pick up the entire suspension bits/hubs/etc from that '91....

I'm thinking about just grabbing the entire suspension/wheels/everything from the front, wheels from the rear. I have a degree of negative camber on the rear but I think that's due to old springs, but other than that if I recall, everything else is fine back there.

Have a way to get the wheels off?

so these are the rims i ended up with. $300 for 17x7's (bigger than i wanted) with tires. dude paid over a grand for them, but the only catch is i one bent. im going to try to get it fixed, but if i cant, its only 120ish for another rim, and the tire looks good still.

my intake is on and fits under the hood, im about to finish up the intercooler pipe right now, so ill post some pictures tonight. im really looking good for the first autox of the year

we got the drivers side fender on the gxl, and the passenger side needs one little tweak and itll be on as well...we have to take it to have the bumper reinforce pulled over like a half inch. also going to get the dent pulled out of the rear quarter. i decided to reuse the front bumper as funding for my project are more limited than first though...id like to know one time when that hasnt happened...im thinking two weeks at the most before it gets sprayed....finally.

Very nice wheels. If you are looking around town for a wheel repair shop- check out Wheel Wizard off of Midlothian Tnpke. I just had them powdercoat a set of wheels, and they turned out great. They are a full service wheel shop with an uncanny committment to quality...
