Very nice! I thought it was a Porsche, but was not 100%.

What is the story on the car? More importantly, what are your plans?!

Found the car on Craigslist (where else right)
the guy managed to get divorced and lose his license due to a DUI
so he has spent the last year getting rid of the toys
this was the last one
all in all it's in pretty good shape for $7500 - as it's mechanically sound and there is zero rust

plans:
1. fix ALL the little **** that's wrong - for example that brake light switch yesterday, it took a whopping 10 minutes to do
I need to fix the high beams, passenger side window need a new carrier, heat needs to be hooked back up, rear engine hatch needs a new shock, all kinds of window and Targa beading & seals need to be replaced, oh and it desperatly needs new rear tires
2. reliability mods - much like the Fd there a bunch of small projects to do that makes the car way more reliable
3. suspension - the struts and shox still seem good so i'm looking at some Rennline monoball mounts and match strut tower braces, solid motor/trans mounts (it's the exact same mount), adjustable spring plates, stiffer torsion bars, bigger sways etc...
4. interior bling
for example this lovely pedal set

height adjustable gas pedal so you can set it up for perfect heal toe

5. VIR

I figured as much
the age of the money pit has begun
you know Kennedy Engineering makes an adapter plate to mate up the 13B to the 914 trans
think about it......

haha, man....I have thought about it, a lot. I have owned the car since I was 16, jesus for 15 years did not even realize that until just now! Done a bunch to it, and finally wanted to do something engine wise. Bounced around every possible configuration, V8, V6, Subaru, Mazda, 911, Turbine (not really, but it would be cool). Finally decided that a big four would be "easier" and more "cost effective" kinda regret that desicion now, as the "easy" project has become very unsatisfying without ever being started, haha. Plus I have way to many projects. SOoooo, gonna sit on it, buy a 911 engine at some point and just do it right.

you have a front turbo iron?

Nice Porsche. You got a fun car and a nice luxury car. Not too shabby.
I have a random question. Does anyone know of a good paint shop around here? I was thinking about painting my first gen vintage red.
