There are always people there by 8:00 which coincidentaly is when i'll be there in the Miata or FD

JIC FLT-A2, also ordered a new competition diff mount that I sloughtered Sunday, rear steer eliminators, and new outer tie rod ends. I am hoping this tightens up the car quite a bit.

Tires and bushings are next.

I won't be there tonight, I am headed down to Yorktown to hang out with the little brother while the parents are away for the weekend.

 

Note to self: yellow/white is the wire to hook up to the coolant temp sensor.

yeah I got to the flamethrower effect as he pulled out of Starbucks Friday night

 

haha, i wasnt trying to get on it that much but there was some water on the ground as you turn right out of starbucks, when it started spinning I said F it. and got on it a little bit.

now I have this massive problem of my car overboosting. The wastegate arm can be moved by hand, is correctly hooked up but on the highway I was getting over 14lbs of boost momentarily, actually once in third I let it get to 18psi before i let off.

Something is wrong........and Zach ported the wastegate

I guess it is time to get the HKS turbo with external wastegate

this is a cry for help i am looking for a s4 na tranny b/c i am about to buy a 88 na with a blown tranny i am looking for the tranny to be in the richmond tri - cities area and for any of you that would like to help me install it after i get it i would greatly appreaciate it seeing as how this will be my first time dropping a tranny and isntalling one and nib do you think that you could help me out on this one we talked at bells road a while back i am the guy with the yellow neon

I'll help if I can but I paid to have the 2 tranny's I went to be replaced in my FC, I have no idea how to do it or have any tools for it. I can turn wrenches or lift stuff real good.
Mitchum Enterprises might have a spare s4 transmission they could pull.

 

Sorry, your over the curb warranty has expired.

 

Payback for the clutch install. I guess I need to bring the beer, too.

BTW guys I just got allowed access to my company's garage, which has heat, air tools, and 2 lifts all 1/2 mile from my house!

 

OOOO, that would make a suspension swap for our cars so much easier!!

 

oh yeah and Zach the diaphram is torn in my wastegate. I need a new one so I dont over boost.

The last time I had a diaphram tear on me I had to name a kid, and well he gets a certain percentage of my paychecks for the next 18 years. So this one isnt so bad!

Hey Robin, I'd like to help out if possible. I want to see how much of a pain in the *** its going to be doing the dtss elim. That should be fun!
Wow, I have yet to replace my wheel bearing by the way. I'm going to throw the dtss elim. in at the same time.

Dead fc- I've got a spare tranny as well, its definately in good enough condition. 260k miles, but was rebuilt... uh sometime? I don't know the mileage it was rebuilt at. Help yourself to it as soon as I get a new clutch in. Anyone had exp. with exedy?

Exedy is good stuff, they're actually the OEM supplier for RX-7's and those last a long *** time. I upgraded to their heavy duty clutch in the FC it grabs like a **** and is easy to modulate. If you haven't done so already get a replacement hydraulic SS clutchline. (I gots mine from Corksport - very nice quality)

Robin when is the suspension change outy gonna be? I can bring beer.


PS: find the spare light switch yet?

 

Hey Dave give me a ring I wanna test drive the 3rd gen when there isnt ice on the road. 347-3995.

BTW anyone have black carpet they wanna sell, I only need the front half. I also need a s4 turbo wastegate, and if anyone has random dash pieces. drivers side vent that goes to the door, steering column surround, and armrest little center piece, that goes where the power window switch would be, but I have no power windows.

 

I'll be getting coffee tomorrow night in the FD, unless the roads are truely icey then I'll be in teh Miata.
Or I'll show up in the FD at Robins suspension changing party.

 

It is my best friends birthday so I am taking him out tomorrow night around 9pm so the coffee is a no go. I will be at the suspension "party" dont know which day it will be though. Saturday I will have a hangover, Sunday I will feel great. we will see haha.

 

I'd say swing by later today but as soon as I fire up the car i'm sure it'll start snowing

 

I gotta go look at my pittbull I am adopting tonite, plus it will be dark again which sucks. Plus I have to put in the new radiator in the Audi tonite, thats gonna suck!
