Its been awhile since ive posted, im gonna get back to working on the RX. Anyone have a TII downpipe and midpipe? I have a terrible exhaust leak, I have a couple of extra NA parts laying around if anyones interested ( sunroof, switches, S4 tranny, vert rear with halfshafts, couple of NA motors, 1 S4 blown, and 1 S5 that previous owner said had compression when he got it, but lost compression on rear while sitting around, polished S4 intake, S5 intakes) if interested let me know.

I had a auto parts car, until my brother decided he wanted a RX7. So i took that car and put another motor in it and hes been happy with it every since.
I know they had 2 at russels junkyard in dinwiddie, im sure he still has them, the problem is just finding them, its a danger zone out there. The number is in the petersburg phone book, but he wont tell you if he has any parts or what not cause he dont even know what he has his self.

 

So is anyone going to next Sunday's (12/11) autocross?

Very possible, you will have to squeeze though, the front seat gets moved up pretty far with all the hoosiers in the car. Also Sarah and Lil'D will most likely be coming along in her SC Miata. So if you have an extra $25 and there's an open slot, you could run in the 7 if you want.

OMG that is sick. I thought you where just BSing when I heard the talk about a corvette motor.

I almost put my turbo swap up for sale for a ls-1 swap, but I was too skeptical of the stories of the torque ripping the subframes and having driveshaft alignment problems, because I am driving my car really hard I didnt want to have to worry.

you have to run just a turn down pipe after the headers and a big nasty cam. I would love to see that little rx-7 shaking from the motor camming at idle.

Anyways I have the haltech installed minus the coils, and just ordered my last little bits. Im shooting for 260whp now until I get comfy with car at the track and then progress from there, all in all it was cheaper and easier for me to hit 400 whp (my goal with this motor) suspension is all done, just need 2 5 point harnesses a cage and a midpipe and Im good to go.

ill call u this weekend I will be wrenching hungover on sat.

Thanks, jayson. I am on another kick on getting a new truck so the RX is put on hold yet one more time. If i dont get it the way i want it by spring im thinking about getting rid of it, but i know ill regret it so im holding on to it as long as i can.

 

barring niburu's approval, I think I'm having a cookout at my place (niburu's place also) on the 17th...gonna be cold....and bring your own food but I'll grill it .

Sounds good...I'd go up with ya dave but I have a friend coming down for the weekend...she's coming to my company xmas party also...so I think staying at the house would be the best bet .
