NH Rotorheads...
hello guys I am back been a long time since I have been on anyways I got a ? does anyone have a USDM s5 tII ecu and uncut wiring harness because I tried using the JDM ecu and wiring (entended harness) and I am getting 0 eletrical nothing at all not even interior lights might be a bad ground and such but this wiring was hacked from the start so rather eliminate the possiablilty of bad harness or ecu
wooo! I'm back on the road with the my red tramp. Took a bit as while it was in storage, the employees decided to jam the wrong key thoroughly in my ignition and it was locked on acc for a few weeks.
Just glad to be back so I figured I'd post in the old local thread.
Hope everyone's projects are going well. And I'm sad to see Rich sell his beautiful fb.
edit: almost forgot, any gas gurus on here? I haven't researched yet, but my sniffer tells me this years 104 unleaded has much more ethanol than last years blend. Maybe I'm way off though.

Question about springs
Hey guys:
I live in Keene. I have a convertible with the original struts and springs. Needless to say, I'd like to replace them. I want to do the work myself, but I'm not an experienced mechanic. I My thought is to install Eibach springs and Koni Strut inserts. On the Eibach website, the exclude the convertible from the list a RX7s they have springs for. Do you think I can just get the springs for the turbo?
I'm not really computer saavy, so I have trouble finding anything by searching. I'm hoping that you guys being NH guys won't trash me for being inept. I can take the trashing if I get good info.
Thanks,
Doug

hmm good question i dont know if you can i am pretty good at doing suspension stuff though
its not too hard to them i just did mine on my coupe i dont know if koni has inserts for the convertible i can look later for you just not right now

ok as far as i can tell all the suspension on the coupe is the same as on the convertible because all the places i buy from don't say excluding or anything like that i don't know about Eibach but i am not impressed with their stuff anyways i would get racing beat stuff they are rotary specific so they know their stuff.
also i do know that the turbo stuff is different then the N/A stuff so stick with the N/A parts unless you want to get into a huge mess.
Another route you could go is coil overs people say they are a very harsh ride but i don't think they are i have a car with them and it is a daily driver so it is not to bad and it handles amazing.
As for struts i have not tried anything but the KYB GR2s which are great struts.
but i think the AGXs are supposed to be better.
I have also heard really good things about the Tokico blues but have never had the chance to use them.
i hope some of this helps.
to put it short all the N/A coupe suspension parts should fit the N/A convertible
Luke
p.s. i live in jaffrey and go to keene pretty often so maybe once mine is fixed we can meet up sometime.
