NH Rotorheads...

just wondering how many rotorheads in the NH area.
I'm in the Lebanon/Hanover area right now.
just picked up an 88 gtu for my winter car and have a red 87 tII with microtech/hybrid htrim/fmic/3" exhuast built and tuned by myself.
currently the tII is blown though and will undergo surgery before next season at epping.

so how many rotor fiends in the ol hampshire?

ViperDude152 11-03-06 10:18 PM

Have you driven an rx7 in the winter before? If so. You know what your up against. if not. THEY SUCK!

Anyways I live in Greenfield NH. Got a 88 SE with an SAFC. Built my own single 2.5" exhaust system with a cutout option. Some other things to be nothing to impressive.

Working on modifing the OMP to inject 2 stroke oil. Just waiting for my parts to come back from my buddy in Connecticut who I had tig some things that I couldn't do with my MIG.

Your probubly about 1.5 hours away from me.

Haha, yes I have definitely driven an na rex in the snow. two of my buddies in high school had 2nd gens and this is where I grew up. Plus I drive like a grandma unless the lights drop at the track. Im hoping with some snow tires and foot control I should be fine.

sleepydave 11-05-06 08:19 PM

no other new hampshirites?

willub and company 11-05-06 08:35 PM

I drove my rx7 in winter once. Sucked ass. I then, last year, before winter, paid about 350 to get winter tires and an alignment. In November, My engine blew. Before the snow came. I was pissed because I was just getting my car ready for winter.

I guess the soul just didnt want me to drive it in the winter again. After throwing a rebuild in, lets see what it will do now :)

Im in Derry. Its a little ways away from hanover. Ive got a 90 gxl with a newly rebuilt streetported motor and in the process of being turbocharged. I also got a base 86 with a cage. The two are being made into one which will hopefully be pretty nice

Christian we met down at an autocross earlyer on in the summer. I was the kid with the broke ass caged car that is 5 different colors haha.

We should have a get together at epping sometime next year.

willub and company 11-07-06 08:58 PM

It still has plates on it and stuff. Im doing alittle bit of cleaning in my garage before i start pulling stuff apart. They have autox events down at Fort Devens in Mass. It took me maybe an hour to get there from my house. I think they also have them in the parkinglot of nhis.

Rotorhead here in Concord. Got an 1988 TII, Been slowly buildin' it up in the last 5 years, hopin' to get some NH'ers to head down to Rotorfest 2007 with me, been the last 3 years and driven down myself......

willub and company 01-10-07 06:12 PM

^^you were there last year? i must have missed you. me and 3 other mass guys went down.

Christian

tworotorguy 01-10-07 06:50 PM

i wasnt very organized in the past, but if the 2007 fest happens, im hoping to at least get someone else to drive down with me, or pick up a MA caravan, cause the way the weathers been out here, no excuse why i cant get a few more things done before spring, cant wait for this season to freakin' begin!

Rotary_Rocket_87 01-11-07 08:56 AM

Another rotorhead here in Charlestown. I have an 87 T2 and an 86 base. I am currently trying to get rid of the 86 cause my roommate is getting another car and we need the room. I am going to be stripping parts I need for the T2. If anyone here wants this car, let me know, otherwise she goes to the crusher. I would much rather see this car get put to some use rather than get crushed, so if you want it, and can pick it up, it is yours for nothing. If you want more info about the car I have a part out thread going in this forum. PM me for any additional info needed.

tworotorguy 01-11-07 04:50 PM

Charlestown. yeah i new some guys a few years ago over in Newport that had a couple of FCs, I used to be in Keene alot and there were alot around like 4 years ago, but I seem to be the only one of em thats still goin, id take your 86 in a heartbeat, but just moved into an apartment, got no room, my friends partin out an 87 gxl... not much left of it, so theres plenty of parts floating around.....

Rotary_Rocket_87 01-11-07 07:26 PM

If you were floating around Keene four years ago you have probably seen my car. Black 87 T2. There was a group of like 6 RX-7s in Keene then and this was one of them. Also this car floated around Newport quite a bit.

tworotorguy 01-11-07 08:16 PM

yeah, i remember, i had the saphire blue gxl w/ the body kit (since been converted into my TurboII) and met this joe wystup, and then there was the group, and this guy named chris from newport, he had a silver FC. there were some others with less than spectacular cars that followed, then it all died down as fast as it started. i do think i remember your car!

Rotary_Rocket_87 01-12-07 08:35 AM

Yeah, I know Chris from Newport. I can't stand that kid. He thinks he knows everything about rotaries.

OtakuRX 01-12-07 02:06 PM

Bedford here. I currently have an 83 RX-7 LE and an 04 RX-8. The 83 is being built to be raced one day, currently one heck of a fun drive (like a go-kart). We should all get together sometime. I am always up to hangout and all.

Rotary_Rocket_87 01-12-07 02:35 PM

Yeah, I think all us NH rotorheads should hangout sometime. Oh, and there is another rotorhead in Charlestown. My roommate just got a 91 n/a.

tworotorguy 01-12-07 05:13 PM

yeah that chris guy did flap his gums alot. i couldnt stand alot of them, they didnt really know anything about the one unique thing about their car, THE ENGINE..... i hope there can be some gatherings of any or all NH rotorheads sometime this spring or sumthin...

dirttracker64 01-13-07 01:56 PM

I actually just moved up to the newport/claremount area too for work. Havent seen any 7's around yet but my roomate has an fd that we need to trailor up from mass.
