I installed my FD alternator yesterday... it was a pain in the butt
I needed to get a bigger belt, because for some reason if fits on the stock belt of everyone elses FC except for mine. I don't know if it fixed my car yet though... cause I broke an intercooler pipe in the process... so it's on it's way from malloy. so I'll tell you how it is beginning of next week

keeping everyone in the know...
apparently the top 3 makes that people in Puerto Rico like to by are:
Hyundai
Mazda
and
Toyota
They're fairly cheap on the US money scale but probably expensive on the PR money scale. Corollas (of all years including the 86) seem to be the choice of cars to pimp, as with Sonatas and Accents. Saw a bunch of rx8's but no 7s (of any generation).
All the other vehicles on the streets were opposite ends of the spectrum: either something seriously beat down, no front bumper, no rear bumper, duct tape, cracked windows or heavy duty trucks, mostly Dodge. Or the uber elite with their BMW X5s or the Mercedes.
Nothing happens during the day but EVERYONE comes out at night. I saw a turbo 5th gen prelude, but the guy wasn't puerto rican, so maybe he got the car shipped there? couple civics but not too many. One STi - probably the only STi on the island. A good handful of accords - 4 doors of course and also galants.
The roads aren't all that great though.
