Targa bars? With bolts? Explain. (with cross-referenced writeup and pictures, not less then 10 pages, not more then 20)

small reinforcing bars that connect to the stock bolt locations for the top when its off to help stiffen the chasis. done right, car is as stiff as when the top is in.

apparently the nuts that are used on the bumper mount bolts are made from unobtanium. theyre 1.25 EACH. the other nuts and bolts i needed for the bumper are only 60 cents each.

ARP i can understand costing more due to how theyre made. the nuts are standard nuts, just with an off thread pattern apparently as the guy at home depot couldnt figure it out. HD's bolt selection is HORRID. took me 10 minutes to find some other bolts i needed for my car before finally finding them in the wrong place. apparently M6-1.0 is the same as #6-32.....WTF??

exhaust studs are identical for turbo and N/A on the supra. turbo uses an extra bracer bar is all.

in other news, i ordered my helmet this morning.

Is anyone available friday night to help me on my car?

It won't idle at all! I start it up and then it dies in under ten seconds, i tried messing with the TPS, but no luck there, so i put it back where it wwas. Someone mentioned a vacuum leak could be the problem, but i have the slightest clue as to where i should start.

It pisses me off that i have had the car for a year and haveb't driven it more than up and down my drivway cuz of problems, and just when i fix them all it decides its not going to idle.

So friday night, anyone?

is the air sensor plugged in and working properly?
does anything different happen if you open the throttle a little when its running?

doublecheck that all the vaccuum hoses are on (ive had a random one i forgot to plug in before). keep an ear out for any air hissing sounds.

are your spark plugs/wires all in right?
does it just stall normally as if you turned it off or does it stutter and die?

I cant help at all as thats the night me and the wife are going out for our 1 year anniversary and busy all weekend with motorcycle class.

OT: talked with turbo shop today and the guy was trying to talk me into upgrading my 61 turbo for a 67. the 61 is already more than what I need and already paying to have it repaired/rebuilt with a double ball bearing to get rid of the minor lag it suffers from. costing me about 950 bucks for that as its a custom built turbo.

right.

I think the sensor is still good because sometimes it tries to pick back up and it doesn't sound good at all! The other times it just stalls unless i give it gas.

Would it be the spark plugs if it starts up? They all seem to be good, but haven't tested them yet.

Vacuum hoses, thats wat a lot of people have been telling me, but i don't have my shop manual, and since it is lost i am lost.

Before I order I thought I'd post here and see whats up. I've been working on the motor for my 7 little by little over the last year+ and havn't got it where I want it yet. But I need to get it in moving condition, so I need a temp motor. I planned to order on from a few guys I know in the shipping business.

So if you have something that can beat this then I'd be happy to pay you instead of having to wait.

3rd gen motor with less than 60k on it for less than $1800

or

A 1991 turbo motor with less than 60k for less than $1250

PM me with anything you hear of or are looking to get rid of.

Ok, $250 for the tail lights, $100 for the rest of the car. What do you need? I already gave you all the FD stuff I have, want some Chevy parts?
