It seriously takes a million years for for sale threads to get approved *not ammused*

On a related note, I'm selling my mazdaspeed/koni Double adjustable coilovers if anyone is interested there will be a thread in the for sale section eventually.

Well, Wes and I tore down the motor last weekend and it appears that the housings are toast:

Special thanks to muythaibxr for the tools. Man that sucker was on there tough, it took some extra thinking to get the nut to crack without a engine stand to hold the motor still. Anyway, it seems that he is leaning toward a N/A 13b now unless someone has two cheap 12a housings lying around.

I am going to go 13b, so if you have a 13b laying around in good condition (it can be in peices) send me a pm. Or if you have any of the other parts needed to do the swap pm me as well, gsl-se oil pan, front engine mount...

The cost to get a complete 12a (at this point) is near the same as to swap a 13b. The only additional cost is going to be getting a carb and intake for a 13b, everything else related to the swap/rebuild is pretty much even. But when I can possibly include selling some of the 12a parts over time, it gets closer, except in the end I have more hp, and easier to get parts to replace in the future.

Oh and it's not a DD.

Anybody have insight on a 13b rebuild in my area, Montgomery County MD? I'll take this to the mazda dealership before I do it myself again, haha.

Got another car as a DD? All im saying is if you pay 300 for a 13B how long will it be before it goes? Everyone has heard the saying "You get what you pay for" 300 for a running 13B sounds good. But is it runnig, How many miles whats the compression. Im just saying that after doin the enitre swap to a 13B and a month later the motor goes. Youll either have to get another 13B or rebuild it. The rebuild is the same for the 12A and 13B.

I got an older Cherokee. Oh definitely you get what you pay for. But the 13b will be rebuilt prior to installation, as would a 12a. So my point is, if I am going to buy housings, why not just buy a 13b.

OK, I'll catch up with you about it. She's running 'OK' now, but not great - Mike Quinn wants to see it in about another 100 miles or so (at 1000).

^ Emory, "running ok" is not acceptable for such a simple rebuild. What is the car doing?

Also, wasn't your engine recently rebuilt?
