Maryland guys!
i have to stick with my original dates for the class cuz i got stuff to do on the other weekend. will have to schedule with you so both of us can take the test the same day as i'll have to borrow yer bike for it.
Anyone know of a good place around here to have a engine taken out and put in my 88 turbo needs a transplant and dont have the time once i sell the accord then i can get my engine and pay for the drop in. The guy i bought it from had 3 engines put in one year put in at this little shop in glen burnie and they put in the engine but they guy only broke the engine in for 500 miles and was racing it but wanted to see what your reccomendations were? And a price range? Thanks
yea i know i really dont want to mess it up though.I pulled the engine out of my 10th anniversary my self but the place in GB has a warranty on their work so if they mess something up it is on them.

My garage. I could work on it on the weekends ( I have a full time and part time job on top of the fixing rx7's on the side).
It'd run between 800 and 1000 depending on how much **** is broken/hoses needing to be replaced and how much troubleshooting I'd have to do to get it running. But that price would include fluids and so-forth.
Most shops start at 1000 and thats you bringing the engine already out of the donor car.
Yea i know everything under the hood is good and i was looking at some engines that only have a few thousand miles so it would save me a little money. The car runs but on one rotor
and turbo spools and all the other crap is funtional and all the hoses seem good because the engine was only replaced 7000mi ago and was the 3rd time. I might have the clutch replaced because he said he did not have it done through all of the engines and the car has like 107,000mi so i might as well just get a act street clutch and put it in there too. Thanks for the offer i might hit you up on that and will look around and get some estimites done. The accord should be gone this weekend hopefully so i can find a engine and would like to have the car done before mid may. I miss having a rx7 to drive.

im reading about the actual test, if you do it with an automatic transmission bike, you automatically get 2 points to start as you cant do the upshift/downshift part. also if the course is wet, you get another 2 instant points for being unable to do a quickstop. theres also an instant 4 points if you do it with a sidecar or a trike.
so worst case, yer starting the test with 8 points already out of the 12 allowed before you even get on the bike.
i reread the course description and you were right in that it is the test. get a certificate at the end to take to DMV towards the license.
so yer still 1 in 3 on it all.

Hey Im in MD now from VA. I may no thave my 7 yet, I have to pick it up from where I was before. Im in Lexinton Park if anyone else is near there. I own a 1st Gen any other 1st Gen owners I seen a lot of 2nd Gen owners. Peace out!
I doubt many people use a bike with an automatic transmission (I've never even seen one besides a scooter) or with a trike or sidecar.
The skills test is pretty easy, even if you don't take the MSF course (I never took it). I passed it in the rain, including sliding fifteen feet at the point where you accelerate through two upshifts than have to panic brake.
Anyone who hasn't been riding for many years without a permit, I'd recommend take the MSF course. I've heard from several participants it makes getting your permit quite simple, with the added benefit of teaching you a few things you're guaranteed not to know unless you're a seasoned rider.
I don't recommend going the route I took - I rode for YEARS and had put 12k miles on my 4th bike when I finally took the test

like i said, rereading the site. after the class, you just give the DMV the certificate of completion and thats it. the class is 3 days of hands on so theres plenty of time to learn and practice
HAHAHA
The Washington Times (4/19, Kralev, 88K) reports the US "has agreed to take in 200 of the hundreds of asylum-seekers who are interdicted at sea every year trying to reach Australia's shores, in an unusual deal under which 200 Cubans and Haitians attempting to get to the United States will be sent to Australia." US and Australian officials said the accord was "aimed at discouraging people from undertaking the sea voyage by warning them that they might end up in a country half a world away, where they have no cultural links." However, the State Department "said the fact that the same number of people are to be resettled in the countries annually" does not mean the operation is "an exchange or swap."
cubans in the outback, interresting idea.

and I don't see how a v12 would be a downgrade.
