jason, your tv is probably a 32" with only 31" visable. measure a 17" CRT, it'll only be like 16".

I stopped by. I saw a red rx8 that left their underbody lights on in the parking lot. I parked a white minivan a couple spaces down beside the poorly parked celica. I couldn't spot anyone I recognized in Damon's so I went to the Hibachi place and coldstone instead. When I got back out the other cars where gone.

Hi Everybody...just happened across this thread. I'm in Severn, MD (work in Jessup right by Ellicott City) and I just bought my first FD.... a 93 R1 VR: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=601432

Anyways just wanted to say "hi!" and would LOVE to meet up with some other local owners and check out the possibilities for my car. I have been in the Toyota MR2T scene for many years and am well versed in modified turbos...my current MR2 makes about 500 hp, and I've built and tuned the majority of it myself. I hope to do something similar (but not as extreme - maybe 300whp) with my new RX7, as the motor is on borrowed time (89k on original motor) and I'm tryign to get ideas about rebuilds or swaps.

Anyways, if you guys have local "meet and greets" like we do with MR2s I'd love to be invited. I hopefully take delivery of the car next weekend (its still down in NoVa with the previous owner) and will start tinkering right away

Nice to see theres a good community in MD!

Yep, just attempted one on my dad's audi... whoever did it last over-torqued the main pully bolts (******* ALLEN KEY'd) So now they are all stripped off and never coming out.

I suggested he drive it (or push it) off a cliff.

AUDI: Like a VW, just more expensive when the parts fall off.

Today I drove my moped to work. Now I reek of two-stroke and gasoline. Also, people of the road and sidewalk hate me :P

I'm really suprised that an audi doesn't have a timing chain... my old 95 bmw 318 had a chain... that makes me not really like audis as much anymore.

Pffft at your timing belts and chains.

All your piston engines should have reed valves, just like my Peugeot!

No camshafts, no chains, belts, or any of that other crap.

SO! I finally got a parts car to fix my 'vert. An 86 coupe, Red inside and out. Except - it actually runs probably better than my convertible! So I'm having to decide if I sell it, keep it, or part it out to fix the vert - leaning toward selling it.
Well - actually i say it's running well - it's only running on one rotor. But it fires right up and idles dead on. But we think that's not a compression or other rotor problem, it's either fuel or spark. I'll let ya'll know as soon as we work on it a bit...meanwhile I'm driving my van I want my convertible back

timing belts in MKIII supras are notorious for still being in good condition after 150,000 miles and not failing. I have literally not heard a single instance where the timing belt snapped.
