I'd help. If I had any free time. But if you want to bounce ideas off me or something, go for it. You'd prolly get more luck if you specified waht kind of help you needed.

Lemmie see what I have available as far as investable money. I could buy the location and rent it to you.

This is why I don't believe in marriage... When you think you've got the right person, you're always wrong... If you just up and jump into marriage, Las Vegas style, you have a pretty good chance of marrying someone like that...

My philosophy:
Date forever... At least she can't up and run off with half your **** when the relationship inevitably fails.

The sun'll come up tomorrow, I think... Be moderately satisfied by the time it sets, just in case it doesn't come up the follwing day. No sense being pissed about something like this on the day the world ends.

good philosophies...though i'm sick of just being known as the girlfriend. i WANT to settle down and get on with my life, rather than being thrown back into dating like this. i hate it.

locations in Olney are already owned and are leased out. like i said before..i need more of the business legal help (what i need to do/know to legally start/run a retail style business in MD) and then its just getting the fundage to start it.

so far what i estimated:This is before discounts that come from sponsorship programs
  • $38,000 for 24 gaming systems (complete with everything @ $1600 each)
  • $8,000 for 2 console setups (55" HDTV xbox360 + 3 controllers per and 5 games per. grouping @ $4000 each)
  • $3,000 for network (full gigabit to all stations on a 48 port switch with VLAN support)
  • $1,000 per server style system (2 estimated. i can LEGALLY get some Dell dual P3 550 servers for 50 bucks each if i need to)
  • $7,000-10,000 for gaming software
  • 12,600 for 3 UBER high end gaming systems @ $4200 each ( This is REALLY optional and wouldn't be implemented till business was stable)
  • $5,000 for Operating systems and Internet Caffe software
  • Network would be full Win2k3 domain to support group management of systems
  • Internet connection is still being researched. $850 for bonded dual T-1, $160 for business cable 8/1 (prob not enough) $390 for 30/5 FIoS. gotta check usage against their AUP's.
  • pfSense firewall would be considered a server system and would have its own dedicated box (DUH!!)
  • Internet optimized DNS (internal cache with known bad sites blocked from resolving)
  • Anti-Virus with scheduled full system scans
  • Anti-malware with scheduled full system scans
  • systems would be locked down to lowest access possible while still supporting games
  • Future Wireless access for low fee (either with my new Fon router or with hotspot controlled access)
  • Credit Card processing im still researching but have found a few cheap enough services (possible use of Paypal for entirely online transactions later) would start with CASH ONLY (unless over $20??)
  • Furniture is still an issue thats being researched (nice but not cost me too much more money. folding tables to start??)
  • Business would also resell computer parts/repair work/installs as well as be able to sell games (only competition there is a blockbuster)
  • Researching a few amusement pieces such as a pool table or air hockey as well as a DDR machine (i can build one too)
  • sponsor supported game/hardware showcases/premieres to help draw in customers.
Games being considered: These are also open to a discounted price
  1. Steam online gaming pack (Every Half-Life game and all other major Steam based release. HL2, CS:S, TFC, DoD,
  2. WoW ( for the warcrack fans)
  3. Quake 3/4
  4. UT2k*
  5. Battlefield2+addon packs
  6. Prey
  7. other games as they come out and i get fundage for them
Food i have picked so far:
  1. Bawls @ $2.50 a bottle (can go as low as $2.00) can also get sponsorship
  2. Red Bull @ $2.00 a can (dont see people wanting this if Bawls is also available)Discounts
  3. Pepsi products @ $1.00 a bottle (Mountain dew flavors, Dr. Pepper,....)Discounts
  4. Hot Pockets (couple varieties)
  5. prepackaged hot dogs (that new oscar meyer stuff)
  6. cheapo bags of chips

hey, man, that is part of life. just like you don't want to quit on 7s, because someone says piston is better than rotary.

if you can learn by mistake, and carefully/wisely work things out, you will be there at the end. just don't chicken out.

while i'm not disagreeing with you, i'm also not taking an entire backseat approach to life. i'm just taking time off from dating for awhile. the mistake i SHOULD have learned from, i didn't - and it resurfaced. so, i've learned from it this time around.

You live in your world, I'll live in mine.

Successful marriages or relationships are like unicorns... I've never seen one, had one, been involved with one... What am I supposed to think about them?

To quote a movie, "On a long enough time line, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero." The same is true of relationships. There is no forever. If there is no forever, what's the point of starting.

agree, learn how to live with it, but not run away from it. just don't go extreme. go enjoy all the fun while you can before you regret.
