Gotta love this weather.. less people on the road.. and i did the longest drift ever.. (half way around a ramp).. i was doing about 40 on a 25mph ramp.. and the car slide side ways. and i gassed it a bit.. while in third.. it was a great feeling..

Cal wasn't trying to drift...he slid in bad weather on the way to work(if my memory serves me).

As you may know, I practically drive for a living.

I drive all over Montgomery County.

For some reason, (this is a fact, an observation, and not a racist comment) but for some DERANGED reason, black people HORDE for the chance to jump in front of my car.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHY, and it's not just one or two, it's like TWENTY SEPERATE INSTANCES.

Sometimes they look baffled (They walked into the street without looking, usually on a cellphone) sometimes they look angry at me (Uh, ok) and sometimes they just keep walking pretending they dont see me so that I have to swerve around them (my personal favorite) and as a close runner up, sometimes the mom who doesnt look either way and just steps out into traffic with her little girl (who I'm sure will grow up to step in front of my car).

Maybe, like DAK tells me, it is a cultural thing. Maybe they just cant get enough of the 7 and want to be a part of it. Who knows.

Jason i think you just drive in that particular area.. :-D i know last time i was in Montgomery County there werent many black people.. but when i'm goin my normal speed of 80mph on the highway.. people always tryin to get in my lane when i'm drivin.. normally i have to go on the shoulder to avoid accident.. its mainly women drivin.. no particular race. to me most of them just dont pay attention.. even the old people move out of my way..

I used to know a guy with a 2nd gen RX-7... Erik Roliz? Rockville area, went to Rockville HS? Er, I think he was a year or two older than me - so either 1985 or 1984. We went to Chinese school together. Saw him once over the summer, but then we kinda lost touch. Thought he might be on RX7club. Anyone know him?
