Maryland guys!
This is just to gauge interest, not set in stone yet..
I have this 1987 TurboII that I am stripping to bare shell, reeping it of it's goodies(fully driveline included) and I am just in over my head. My parents say the car needs to go soon, as it is taking up my mom's garage spot.
Still to pull is the engine itself, and full drivetrain. I just bought a 2 ton engine crane and a 2000 lb engine stand + pineapple adapter. I'm all set to start yanking/ripping the motor apart for good parts, but I really could use some help from the more "experienced" on getting the parts off the car.
If anyone would want to drop by, and help me out..I'd be so greatful >.<. If anyone has a free day this week/weekend, or next week, just give me a date, and I'll be here! I'm really running out of time, as I said, the parents are getting very anxious to have this "junkyard" T2 out of their home. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

If today doesn't suck, i'll make my shot to finish my 240SX now that i'm armed with knowledge... lol
However, if Jury Duty doesn't pan out next week, i'll be sure to come out to the garage before I take my trip...

)Ken
lol, indeed....
But yeah, seems that not only am I supposed to try and time it to 20 deg. BTDC, but i'm supposed to disconnect the TPS as well...
From my understanding, the procedure is like this:
1.) Start car and warm up engine
2.) Turn off and unplug TPS
3.) Start car again with TPS unplugged, then adjust timing to 20 Deg. BTDC (last notch mark)
4.) Adjust idle screw to 750 rpm range
I didn't do any of that, so I guess while trying to adjust the timing with the TPS on, the ECU kept trying to adjust itself against what we were telling it...
It would explain the shitty *** idling and why it runs kinda ok till the engine is warmed up and the idle tries to die off (car pretty much tries to kill itself at that point)
If THIS doesn't work, then i'll take another look at my vac hookup.... Sounds like it'd do the trick, though....

Yeah, I have tons of air tools..never used them before though. My uncle dropped them off in a bunch of boxes / tool chests before he left for Florida a few weeks ago. No air compressor though. Every other tool imagineable
..
Anywho, I'm located in Howard County MD. Up a mile from Dayton, about 20 minutes from Columbia..45 minutes from inner city Baltimore. I've got roughly 1-2 more weeks before the car has to be OUT. So yeah, if you just name a date..I'll be here.
