lets not talk about it.
Just a quick observation and question!!! Does anyone know if there is a big difference in the Speed-o-meter for the 86-88 models? cuz.. RedRX00 and I took out a sensor from another 87 and try to put it on mine (mine fell off when i was driving thus lost it).. The one from the other 87 was a bit longer like 2-3 inches.. and wouldnt budge into the sleave any more.. anyone know why this is?
how was the medieval thing?
is it difficult to drive w/o power steering? I can only bench like 100lb, im afriad i might not be able to handle a car w/o it

I drive both my cars without power steering, and I'm a scrawny guy. After alittle bit tho you build MAD forearm and the ladies love you...or at least the first half...
but no, not hard at all as long as your tires are inflated right!

and I also drove suds' car with the power steering pully cut
(harder that non-power steering) and it was kinda hard, but I could still drive it fine.

1993 Civic LX Sedan - Removed the belt. Had to put it back on once a year for safety inspection.
1985 Civic 4wd Wagon - Stock Manual steering. No problem. Helps that the car was light enough that about 8 big guys could pick it up. That figure has been tested too.

1985 RX-7 GSL - Also stock manual. Recirculating ball (Non rack and pinion) too.
Also has an aftermarket steering wheel that's like 13 inches diameter... No problem...I'm not a big guy either... 6'1" 150lbs soaking wet with a pocket full of quarters.
The only real problem you might have is when parallel parking or pulling into a space and you need to turn the wheel with the car standing still... Even then, I think you'd have to be anemic to not be able to turn the wheel.
If you really have trouble, get a larger steering wheel for the short term till you're used to it. The larger wheel will increase your leverage. I think the early 1st gens came with a 15 inch school bus wheel.
Look at it this way, you'll be able to bench more than 100 lbs after driving the car for a while.

I'm about half way done doing a rebuild of a s4 na motor. If you just wanna pay parts and alittle labor (and I mean small amount..i didn't take me long). and gimme your engine so I can rebuild that...so I might get a werking engine in my car sometime soon. Then just hit me up.
Brandon and all....I have acheived what few can...a QUADRUPLE suspended license!!!
