I'll try pics of Jimdog's car again

We had another autocross today at ACU-4 at Little Creek Amphib Base. It was a great event. I finally got to run my car. I think I did pretty well, but I didn't see the official times. The guy that was at our meetup at AJ Gators in Va Beach with the MR2 was there (sorry, I am terrible with names, I can't rememebr his name) and a whole bunch of Miata's, but I was the only RX7. Course was great, but the wind was blowing really hard all day. They had to move the course some early on because the Chesapeak Bay was blowing up on the concrete and crossing the course.

Thanks for posting pics Calvin. I wanted to make it to ACU Sun. but figured it was too windy and it would blow the cones over(Besides the fact I had a Railroad Spike sticking out of my Forehead "hungover") I should be @ the next one.Too bad they dont run @ Night I would have smoked those other Emods I was the olny one with headlights LOL

The cones didn't get blown over at the autocross, but I am not sure why not. It was blowing really really hard. The last 50-100 feet of concrete was wet from the Bay being blown up there. Before we started they moved the course so it would not be wet, but a little water still got on the course. The bay out there looked really rough. The waves were bigger than you typically see at the oceanfront. the weather report showed wind gusts in the 35-40 mph range before I left to go out there. I assure you that when they start up the hovercraft that quite a few hats will blow out from under them. Everyone was losing their hats.

Some pictures were posted from the last event at Little Creek. Those of you that know what the water usually looks like out there, compare to this picture. It might give you some idea of what the wind was like

Anyway for anyone intersted:

I just wanted to let everyone know that might be interested, that there is an
autocross (Solo II) school at the old Pungo Airfield in Virginia Beach on Saturday, October 2nd. It is followed by a regular autocross on Sunday October 3rd. If you are interested in attending either you can let me know, or you can go to the ODR-SCCA web site at:

http://www.odr-scca.org

and click on Events, Solo II (Auto-X), Solo II Pre-Registration, and Solo II Entry List for more information on the event. The entry fees and information is there. If you have any fruther questions you can ask me and I will try to answer. Entry of the event on Saturday is limited and spaces do fill up, so if you are interested, pre-register soon. Pre-registration for the autocross that Sunday also sometimes fills up, but you can usually enter on the day of the event if you must, but it is better to pre-register.

Hope to see you there.

I'm going to try to run my 7 tomorrow at WWW. Hopefully weather holds, I've been told it's supposed to be a nice day. *crosses fingers* I really need to get ahold of Dave to get my carb straight, the 2000-4500 rpm cruise speed gets really annoying, rather quickly.

Randy has one , but it need some cleaning up . It also needs ramps . I bought new straps for it but have never put them on . The straps cost over $85.00 just for the straps . I know Randy will sell the dolly , its just a matter of catching up with him????

Yeah it was fun. After the race I went over were all the entrants were gathering. I walked over there and ran into several people I had not seen in quite some time. Several recognized me. Talked to Dino, and Brady Woddell. It was fun catching up a little. Congrats to Kenny, ya did pretty good.

Wish I could run, but I can't afford to fix it if that wall got too close. But it was fun.
