I hate to make phone calls, just ask anyone who know me. Randy doesn't check online that often so he usually finds out after or the day before we try to get together. I should try to do better, he is a great guy.

 

I'm interested on coming to the autox. How much, what do i need besides a helmet?

 

they usually provide helmets, you hand them a drivers lincense and they hand you a helmet to use. It is 20 bucks for non tscc and non scca memeber, correct me if im wrong but thats what it was last auto-cross.

 

i have a leak causing my car to bog down and die. but now i added a BOV and it starts up fine but when i get into 3rd gear it slowly dies like no fuel is being sent to the motor. so i hit the fuel pump switch and its fine after. later it dies at the light now the thing is, it'll crank but it wont fire up. flip the switch and that works but when it starts to run again, it quickly dies.

any input on this?

This is the first I have heard of it. Wish I had known before now. I might have been able to plan. As it is, there is no way.

About the autocross, all you have to have is entry fee (the amount told before sounds about correct), enough air in your tires (usually higher than street pressures), and a car that will pass the safety inspection (basically no cords on your tires, seat belts, everything in good shape). That is all you need to enter. If you have your own helmet bring it, if not they have loaners.

 

Anyone go to the autocross?

I didn't get a chance to go to the ax. Couldn't make it.

Not too fond of the website right now. But maybe It'll grow on me.

Any word on upcoming events in the area besides the 22nd?

 

FWIW, I misseed that autcross also. I will be at Hooters this Thursday (7/22) 7:00PM. Anyone that went to the car show at the Pavillion or the autocross that wants to tell us what happened, feel free..

as of right now i like the old set up. maybe this will grow on me eventually. i was just getting comfortable with the other set up.

 

It sounds like quite a few people are going to show up on Thursday (7/22) at Hooters. If everyone that was there last weekend shows up, plus the others it will be quite a crowd.

I'm thinking of heading down to VA Beach on Aug 1st for the ODR Autocross, and Calvin was kind enough to tell me about the TSCC autocrosses as well, although I'm not sure I'll be able to make the one scheduled on the 15th. Do you guys have a meeting point at the events where I could meet some of you or will I have to just wander around looking for Mazdas?
