LOL, not big enough. But I think we have a decent size group, about 50 or so members, maybe 30+ active ones. Nice group of RX-3's, FB's, FC's and FD's.

for the record i'd like to say i like driving in the rain in my FC, for the purpose of saving my tires and it makes drifting alot easier, but aside from the drifting factor it pretty much sucks. especially in heavy traffic.

Well I'm still a performance car novice. More than once have I hit second gear in the rain and lost traction... Plus I really like to drive with the windows down and the sunroof up. At least my lawn is startin' to look better with all this rain.

When I drift in the S13 in the rain, it does save on the tire wear, but the possibility to hit something increases dramatically due to everyone else's fear of driving in the rain. I usually hit up a parking lot secluded from the streets and tear it up for a while and then move on to another location.

man how hard do you drive in the rain. Or do you have like ultra high summer performance tires on? Just curious. It maybe the whole novice thing as well. Not trying to pick at you. Just wondering.

Ok, for a quick event report... In spite of the rain it was one of our best events ever. I counted 15 rotary cars there (not all at once, but throughout the night there were 15). There were about 4 RX8's (Thanks guys!!!), Chris's RX4, and everyone's RX7's. Later Dartanyan showed up driving his h*onduh S2K with Matt in tow (with left hand in cast), and Randy, Mike, Crystal and Michelle all showed up in Crystal's Toureg.... Rich trailered hs FB over, with freshly dented fender and new half-bridge 12A with twin DCD webers. Nelson was there with his new driver S5 'vert, Jose with his really nice S4 TII (he has owned this car for a very long time), the really nice 12A turbo car that the owner''s name escapes me at this very moment (I am old and forgetful and it is late), Andrew with his newly aquired nice 85 GS, Monty in his homemade turbo, Brian in the RX8, Matt (new owner) in his FC and several others.... We were missing Dan (both of them), Yoshi, Dwayne, Kenny, and a handful of others. Awesome time, in spite of the on and off rain.

Then we went to eat at Eastside Pizza and had the usual rotary BS with everyone, then we went over to AIK for bragging rights. Dartanyan was the fastest of our group in the first session. I passed him, then he passed me back. Randy was thrilled that he was able to bump me from behind three times.... Then the second session I was the fastest in our group, but not as fast as Dartanyan had been in the first group....

Events this week... are Wednesday night at Langley..Rich has done lots of stuff to his FB, and then Saturday at Jake's house in Glouchester. I will post details about the time. I think we should get together and caravan. I will pick a caravan location where we can meet and drive up. It is a nice drive up to Jake's place. He is installing a Haltech in his really nice GSLSE. Food an beer Should be there.

Not that hard, maybe my tires just suck in the rain. They're Toyo Proxy 4's.

Sorry for missing last night , but I went to Richmond to Watch the PINKS episode . We missed most of it , they had already run 2 episodes when we got there. Then the other racer backed out and did not want to run a pretty bad S 10 . There was probably a 1 hr delay , but finally one of the pinks crew stepped up and raced the truck , but sadley enough the truck was just to bad . Cant wait to see it on TV ,since i missed most of the event .

yeah i love the empty parking lot. i wish there was just a nice skippad around for drifters, since it does seem to continue tyo increase in popularity. im good at not panicing in bad situations though which has save my car a number of times in irronically almost all non drifing telated incedents. ( like when my tire fell off).

Kenny, I was going to send Rich Christiansen an email with some links to video that suggests him going to Langley. I think it would make for something with a different twist to their usual show, and I think he could get some promo stuff from Langley.

LOL, it's not that nice. Still in dire need of a paint job and 99 spec wing . Anyone else notice there's a Harbor Freight store in NN now?? My dad bought me a set of impact sockets!!! Of course he got me an SAE set, lol. I've got 3 Japanese cars, I'll be going back to exchange them for metric ones.

I like the wing. I think it's functionable( though I'll probably really need it) and looks nice. I can remember when the FD's first came out and when I decided to get one, I wanted one with a spoiler.

News! For a while I knew I had a "leak". I just noticed that my power steering resevoir was low, again! Perhaps I have PS leak instead of an oil leak. If I can get out to the meet this Sat, I'll bring some "stuff" to fix some of my current issues.

I think it is the season for power steering leaks.... fortunately my RX7 doesn't have PS.

It looks like a couple of our people are going to the autocross next weekend. Dave M is going to run his FD. Carl Stone is entered with is SA22C.

Any suggestions for meeting somewhere in Hampton or Newport News and caravaning up to Jake's house? Who all is planning on going?
