Anyone planning to come to the GT live at VIR OCT 6-8th?

 

I am probably going to try to go to the GT Live. Jon Felton is setting up a rallycross as part of that event. It sounds pretty cool. I am also planning on going to the 13 hour race with John U. a month or so later.

i would, but how much, and could you wait for bit before i was able to get it, got to move this weekend, and got all those fun expenses.

 

rally cross! if i get my 200$ volvo put together by then i might try to make it up that way...or mabe try to bring the rx-7 offroadder.....sounds fun!

Here is the link to info about the rallyecross. I'd love to go. If you decide you want to take the offroader RX7 and need a trailer or sumpin... let me know, we might be able to work something out.

BUTTTTTT...... I have just had a "family issue" come up and I can't go to Jake's tomorrow..... I was planning on going, but there is just no way now. I might be able to make it later, so..... Jake, do you still have the cell phone number -7416? If so I will call when I am done and see if you guys are still there, but I currently have no guarantee.

If you work on it some more later I will try to make it up there some other time if I can't tomorrow.

I will be going to to autocross Sunday at Little Creek. Watch for a report and maybe some pictures.

that rallycross looks awesome! im gonna have to look into the rules for that stuff. im prety sure the rx-7 probbaly would be in a class way out of my range ox experteese...im gonna get burgers and **** for about 10-15 people, too much?im not realy even sure how many people are commin, may just do pizza....

Jake, don't worry about the class your car might run it... None of the people I know going are serious about rallycross, they are just going to have fun. They are autocrossers that are picking up an old Sentra or something and playing with it. Send an email to Jon Felton (getfast on autocross.us) and ask him anythign you don't know about the event. He is a pretty cool guy that has some roots in RX7's. In fact I think he is a member her on RX7 club, but he probably doesn't check here often anymore.

 

well ****, count me in! i may havr to take you up on the trailer offer. ill need to get some better rear tires tho.

 

What do you need for tires? I have some, nothing great, but some....

 

used snow tires. im bidding on some on evil bay. i already have snows on the front. another problem i have is that i have different sized tires on th rear and with the welded dif...well...it kinda sucks. but donuts are fun!

 

I do have a set of some sort of decent radials mounted on a set of + alloys you could use if needed.

cool. i think ill be ok tho. im picking up a pair of 1st gens this weekend that i think have good tires, but well see....were you planning on racing at thar vir thing? or just going to hang out? if you were just going to check things out ill deffinatly take you up on the uses of the trailer. i stewed over it for a bit. it will be a good way to test out how this thing will do. only thing i really "need" to do to it is get rid of the bee hive and put in a real oil cooler.

 

if you do decide to come, its easy, after the coleman go about 16 miles, turn left on 613, my house it the 4th one on the right, cant miss it.......

hay bong was wondering if you are selling anything? i was looking at that thing you had which was a turbo jacket ? i dont know its proper name but its that thing that looked like tin foil and was a lot of padding. but yeah its the thing that wraps the turbo thats all i know . if your selling it pls let me know !
