Don't forget, you'll need a TII rearend along with the transmission if you don't have a special TII to NA driveshaft.

You can either go with a total TII rear or get the $282.00 driveshaft. Just curious, why do you want a TII tranny on an NA engine? Or do you have plans for the engine.

Well, I finally picked up that front cover and oil pan from Calvin today. All I need is a front cover gasket, some RTV, a thermal pellet replacement, and a mounting bracket from Racing Beat and the motor will be able to go in. I do need to do the tranny mod though so the shifter ends up in the right place.

Also, I found a big *** FMIC for $150 that I'm getting, and the same guy has a T04 turbo with a 40mm internal WG. I'm thinking about getting that too. All I would need is a manifold and some IC piping.

Also, someone with an RX-7 that frequents these forums was seen in Ulta, or Alta, whatever it is. Will he/she fess up to being in a makeup store?

I wasn't the one who spotted you Yoshi. It was my gf. She wasn't quite sure it was you or not, and she's pretty timid as it is. If it was me, I woulda said hello for sure.

Ren, it's ok man. I just need to get rolling on this thing. I'm positive I have to mod the shifter, but I'm going to double check when I get the motor in. I'll mock up the tranny just to verify.

What do you guys think. I need some input. Should I stick with the stocker turbo, or should I go the T4 route. I think that the stock S5 turbo is has coolant and oil running through it. Correct me if I'm wrong. If not, then I'll have to do something because the T4 is oil and coolant fed. Pretty much, with the internal WG, all I have to do is buy a manifold and bolt it up. I've already gotta do custom exhaust, so that's a nobrainer. Just a custom DP. I already planned on running a FMIC, so pretty much all I would need is piping and mount the IC up.

What are your ideas. Also, I planned on running 4 720 cc injectors. I think this would feed the turbo fine at approx 14 psi. Again, any imput would be helpful.

Thanks,

Bryan

Yea, I've checked out Lexan windows before. It's about the same cost of a new windshield.

If I can get the car ready, I'd like to take it out to Langley, but it needs alot of work, and I'm pretty busy between work and school. Plus, I'm waiting for the Haltech. I'd need to get it tuned as well. I'm not gonna go thrash it on a crap tune.

I have made hexan windows for other cars in a racing environment. I use to get the material from Chesapeake Plastics (best local price at the time) and cut and shape them as necessary. Contrary to popular belief lexan is shaped cold with similiar tools to working aluminum or something (wheel, break, shears, saw, etc.). Could make rear window for FC easily unless you needed to fit a template.

i would be interested in that TII rear end depending on cost, but it wont be until this celica sittin in front of my house is sold.
and to answer your question about my plans for the car, yes i plan to put put more power into it, probably going to put a smaller turbo in because of the high compression rotors and some other things to help out, but for now i know i need either a rebuild or a tII tranny because the input shaft bearings really not starting to sound so good

A smaller turbo doesn't have anything to do with lowering the compression in the combustion chamber. All a smaller turbo will do is build boost faster, and peak quicker. If you're worried about the high compression, you need to lower your boost via wastegate mods and a boost controller.

Ren, you do realize you shouldn't put lexan in your side windows. It's a PITA. most our race cars run without side windows, and lexan front and rear windows.
