LOL, thanks Cal, maybe I should send my kids to autocross school when they're old enough. Silly me, I was too busy with academic courses in high school to actually take driver's ed. What did those high school courses get me? It never lead to college degree that's for sure. And I didn't get my driver's license till I was 19 years old.
Wasn't there a meetup tonight?? Did anyone go? If I don't get another 7 right away, can I still attend as a former owner/current enthusiast ;-)? Hopefully it won't be too long before I get another one. I have NO IDEA why I'm stuck on 7's..... Maybe it's the engineer in me, I just think rotory engines are cool way to push a car.......

Lovintha7, I forgot to give you the throttle cable. If you need it, stop by my place the next time you're in the area. Don't forget, I'll be in Texas the week of the 28th.

Well the "wheels are in motion"(would that be considered a pun?). I found a 94, < 10k on a street ported rebuilt engine, red with tan leather seats, rear spoiler, looks really great, FD. The seller and I have agreed on a price(that I feel is a pretty good bargain). Barring any issues with the bank, it looks like I might finally have a running 7!

Good deal Yoshi. I'll stop by sometime soon. I managed to spin the motor over last night at the shop, it seems fine. We'll find out in a few months how it runs. I'm still trying to figure out this ECU though. Looks like a Japanese aftermarket ECU, and I don't see anything in the US selling this one.

Yeah, everything for the suspension of a first gen is available. What bushings are you looking for? Dale just installed a ST Urethene bushing set on his GSL. You can over do the rear bushings on a first gen. There needs to be some compliance there. I happen to think the lower control arms on the front are ok made out of urethene, but I really like the strut rod bushings from G-force Engineering.

It's a FAMSPEED ECU. The code is an N374. I know this is the equivalent of the N370. The people who took it out cut a harness and I've got no idea what it goes to.

Wiring for the knock sensor. The S5 NA doesn't have one.

Renegade, No, this ECU has 3 plugs. A long one, a short one, and a one in between, in that order.

The last one is the one that's cut.

You don't need the cut harness that I gave you. I just handed it to you in case you wanted it.

Well I'm supposed to close on my loan in the next couple of days. I'm going to be in Texas next week, so I thought I'd fly into Memphis instead of home and pic up the car. I was going to tow it home, but it looks like it'll be more fun and less expensive to go ahead and drive ito home. Lovintha7 and Jerry, you guys should stop by next Saturday to see the car(as long as everything goes well). This is my DREAM car! I can remember the first time I saw one. I was driving in Williamsburg when I an FD drove by me. I was like WTF was that!!!! Since then I've been hooked! And actually, I love all RX-7's, but this one is extra special to me.
