technically it's for limited use vehicles, but they don't actually check anything or state a specific mileage. and "occasional transportation" is pretty hard to quantify by any cop...

This is what I have on my RX7, Corolla, and motorcycle, I've never had an issue.
Perfect. Thank you!

I have Historic on my '86 na in MD. FYI - technically your historic ride can't be too heavily modified on the performance end of it, but I know a guy in Rockville with historic and 400whp on his '85 FB. I think their significant modification caviat refers to dropping in a V8, etc.Bill

(not sure if that's still law)
I don't know much about MD laws & was hoping someone could enlighten me. I haven't been able to find anything worth a damn on the web.
As much as I didn't like Washington state, I sure miss their car laws. No inspections, 25 year rolling exemption from emissions and exhaust regulations. You can drive a straight piped carbed Peripheral-port 13B FC and never get a ticket.
Whatever you decide, be careful in VA. If you end up with a loud exhaust, and cross over to VA, expect to get pulled over, and get at a min one ticket

Coming along. Had to get the downpipe updated, and clean up the intake manifolds since they have some black paint peeling off them.

It's from texas, although I got it there was a slight gap in the wastegate to downpipe connection so the guy asked for it back to redo the downpipe. Thought I try it out as a new year special.

Let's see, I recently:
* swapped power steering for manual steering (FC rack, I know..)
* resealed the oil pan and installed an oil pan brace
* replaced water pump gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, thermostat, fuel injector grommets
* replaced some of the fuel lines
* replaced the heater lines and radiator hoses
* removed the AC
* removed the air pump, ACV, AWS and related soleniods
* ported the stock twin wastegate
* replaced all vacuum lines
* cleaned and painted what I could
* replaced stock radiator with koyo
* replace clutch and pressure plate
* got a new FMIC to install, it's next

Officially single running now. Running off my wastegate spring at 10psi for now while doing more fine tuning, then I'll add in the controller to go more but pretty nice so far. You know your car gets your attention installing things in almost single digit temps outside.

Dang man, outside in the cold! Is it running well, are you going to tune it yourself?

Sometimes the cold doesn't kick in until coming inside.. lol It's running decent, some exhaust noise. I am doing the tuning with some long stretch roads. Got a good tune to 10psi earlier today, finished up tying in the stock solenoid for the wastegate and the map was good enough to reach 15psi. Stopping there for now until I install the 3 bar map sensor and look at fuel upgrades though since it is still stock.

Thinking about hitting up the Dulles cars and coffee this Sunday since the weather looks to be pretty nice and I haven't had the FD out in a month or two.

Sorry, going to have to bow out of this one. I'll be working all weekend. If I do anything I may try and meet up with Matt at the Dulles show. I doubt I'll find the time though.

Spring cruise will be once all the salt has been washed away. Probably mid-late April.

Looks great! I wish I had half the motivation to work on my car as you do. Are you still deciding on what wheel to use? Lately I've been thinking of trying to graft the wheel from a '14 - '16 Mazda3 into my FD instead of the aftermarket wheel I have. They're real comfortable and just about the right size. Airbag, Mazda logo, lots of buttons you can use for your A/V functions, etc. Problem is, instead of a splined collar they have some sort of tapered hexagonal fitting. I'm sure it's possible to adapt one but I haven't really looked into it any further.

Rocky - nice to hear from ya. Drove from Laurel to Frederick historic district then to Harper's Ferry - very pleasant 150 miles with almost no potholes ! If I already mentioned this to you sorry, but did you see "Aria from DC" in intro section, last dated 2/9 ? Is young daughter of ICEMARK with her first RX ? Messaged her about Fall/Spring road trips and she wants to join in. Bill

This build is pretty much at a stand still while I wait for the wife to go back to work. I purchased the cluster early last year. This is going a lot slower than I anticipated.

I haven't looked into a new wheel yet. I have a feeling that that's going to be one of the last things swapped out.
