Spring time is coming early this year... Maybe? Either way, let's start talking about the cruise. New route? Old route? I enjoyed the Dirt Farm brewery last time. Any new ideas or just want to do that again?

Anyway, here's the usual boilerplate:

As per our usual, we will be starting the trip at a breakfast establishment (IHOP @ 7495 Iron Bar Ln, Gainesville, VA 20155) for everyone who is interested to get some grub. This gives us the opportunity to show up at more flexible times. If you want to eat, make sure you are there with enough time to get your bill taken care of before we leave the parking lot. Departure time will be 10am, even if you aren't there for food make sure you are there EARLY. We'll be standing around chatting anyway and if you are late you run the risk of us leaving without you. Then you will have no other choice but to try and catch us up after we've already woken up all the law enforcement with our loud exhausts.

Remember: These meets are more about the people then the cars. Having your car be down for service is part of owning an Rx-7. Feel free to show to the meeting spot and grab a ride along with someone else, or if you want to drive along with us in something else that is cool too.

Once you decide that you are in, vote for the dates you are interested in. Also, list your screen name and real name below so I can have a running tally of who is showing up.

I got the stuff to start my g-mount but I'm afraid if I take the carevalrta to start the install I won't make it! I may end up waiting to install until after the cruise.

I loved Dirt Farm and the drive to get there other than the last 1/4 mile. That rocky - boulders really - hill climb in the FD was painful. Maybe someone can bring an SUV and shuttle us up? I'll see what other path and destination we could make.

All mute for me if this doesn't occur on a Sunday though.

 

So what, are we going with a majority vote deal? I'm going to have to pass if its the 8th unfortunately.

 

Sorry to Matt, Duc, and you Derek. The Majority has spoken and it looks like the 8th is going to be the date. Hopefully we can arrange another trip a little more into the season or we can all just meet up at another event.

 

Matt had said he was fine with whatever, so don't count him out Rock. Duc & Derek - come on, we need ya !

 

It's just 2 of us at work, and the other guy had leave before me so not going to do that to him.

 

Then have MR2 Mike bring your Rex ! Wanna see your mirrors and the rest of YOUR STUFF, since we can't see YOU !

 

Maybe i'll get lucky since we can be slow on sunday's, will just have to see.

 

It looks to be the 8th of April Derek, so it's on a Saturday. I hope it rains on them. Haha, I kid of course. Bummed. Now how will my FD get driven more than 200 miles this year?

I'll watch for updates and may try to meet you all out at Old Busthead if that's the route you end up taking. Have fun!
