Hi all,

It's that time again, SPRING ROAD TRIP TIME!!! The weekends are getting warmer and it looks like we are going to get a good soaking this weekend that should help wash some of the salt off the roads. If you are not familiar with these trips I suggest you review our previous threads (HERE,HERE, HERE, and HERE) It has always been a great beginning to the driving season and really takes care of the driving itch.

Route: Here is this year's Map We'll start at IHOP as usual, have our drive out 211 to warm up, ride skyline drive stopping at lookouts, get some BBQ or whatever in Front Royal, cruise back 66 and up 28 to Lost Rhino Brewery.

Start Time: As per our usual, we will be starting the trip at a breakfast establishment for everyone who is interested to get some grub. This gives us the opportunity to show up at more flexible times. If you want to eat, make sure you are there with enough time to get your bill taken care of before we leave the parking lot. Departure time will be 10am, even if you aren't there for food make sure you are there EARLY. We'll be standing around chatting anyway and if you are late you run the risk of us leaving without you. Then you will have no other choice but to try and catch us up after we've already woken up all the law enforcement with our loud exhausts.

Who can come: These meets are more about the people then the cars. Having your car be down for service is part of owning an Rx-7. Feel free to show to the meeting spot and grab a ride along with someone else, or if you want to drive along with us in something else that is cool too (just ask Vlad he's been doing this for years now, when he wakes up that is )

Action: Once you decide that you are in, vote for the dates you can show. Also, list your screen name and real name below so I can have a running tally of who is showing up.

Well, it seems that right now the 31st and the 7th are tied. But, with the snow today I am inclined to push it back to the 7th in hope that we'll get some more rain before then.

Thoughts?

Good, I just ordered some tires and they'll be here and mounted by then.

 

Looks like the seventh I won't be able to make it. Going to take my daughter to Gettysburg. It's still up in the air on whether to go this weekend or next.

 

Sucks, keep track of the thread though. If it looks like crappy weather that day, we may still push it back to the next week.

 

One last push at the garage this weekend and I should be ready for the 7th!

 

hopfully my 91 is done at speed1 before the 7th! if not ill be in my 90 again

 

Im really hoping to make it to this one. Im down for the 7th..sevens on the 7th... ha ha. I just drove to bwi yesterday and she made it back under her own power. Although i plan on doing cams and just about every suspension bushing this weekend. Hopefully i dont break it lol.

 

I should def be game for the cruise on the 7th =)

I plan on bringing the FD for sure, I may (or may not) also be bringing my Miata if the women folk want to come along. I can pretty much promise that myself and my buddy Tharek will be there though.

 

I'm pumped. I'm just not exited about the fuel consumption...i clocked 12.95 mpgs last week...

 

The 7th? There isn't any leaves on the trees yet lol
